Also seen some job ads explicitly state they won't hire people over 30 for entry level work, as well as some social media posts stating why "there's a reason you're still entry-level at 30." There's a vocal ageism that I'm experiencing as a 30 year old and it sucks. IT IS HUMILIATING OUT HERE

I hate applying for work in person, there's no way to do it without inconveniencing someone. It's rude on some level and I find the process humiliating as an applicant. I also know from behind the scenes too that it can influence an employer to rescind an otherwise disirable applicant.

I’m working a seasonal job that ends after Halloween and it has been so hellish trying to find a replacement job that’s also cool with me not just abandoning my crew that are already over worked and understaffed. I’m sure I’ll get something mid-October but nothing but rejections so far.

I’m cackling at these responses. In this bakery’s defense, this is the one thing they have like this. The rest are all traditional French pastries, including and almond croissant with the dough actually on the inside like it’s supposed to be.
