I am in Cap Haitien interviewing people deported from the United States. I have been doing this kind of work for almost a decade and it literally does not get more dire than this. People have lost everything they built in the U.S. and are terrified and have no place to go or way to live.

Zionism is just an ideology grounded in the belief that Jews have a special connection to the ancient land of Israel and that at least some part of it is the Jewish homeland. We were doomed as soon as 'Zionist' became a mainstream slur, which happened only in the last couple of years.

Well the tax kicked in at $200K, $2-$3M today. The bigger issue is that even back then, the ultra rich found tax loopholes, so they did not end up paying enough to make a real dent. Individuals should not be able to accumulate that much wealth in the first place.
