the only reason I think a rival company will come into play is because of Chai's silly guess that Roxanne owned a rival robotics company when the tea-m finds out Pepp is her daughter...but truly who knows what will happen!

I miss talking hfr so much like I genuinely got so giddy joking about Chai in court... Like, idk, anyone got any theories on what the sequel will be about? Mine's been something along the lines of a rival company showing up and making Chai's job as ambassador a living nightmare for him but 🤷

The Vanilla post! It's mostly little details about his design and an inspiration chart! I'll be linking some playlists below~

I really admire how many people are so unabashedly proud of what they create and how much confidence they have when they post...I wanna be able to do the same and be supportive of others instead of cower around. It may still be a slow process for me, but baby steps are still steps.

I hope I haven't made anyone feel like I hate them in this space...I've just been dealing with a lot of silly self-esteem stuff and when i get overwhelmed, i tend to need to isolate or look away from folks but it's never anything personal

which stinks! and with all the low self-esteem, at times i found myself jealous of others and doing cowardly stuff like hiding in order to soothe myself...but I don't want to do that kind of thing.

the internet was a space that felt like i could share my works and get validation in ways i didn't really get irl...and self worth stuff started to weight heavily on bullcrap like likes and shares.

much like chai, i have a big inferiority complex and it's all rooted in my low self-esteem...i've struggled constantly with feeling like im never enough in so many things! it's tough to handle feeling like that...

it's been nice to draw more hfr stuff again...been so quiet cuz i've just been trying to also get into a healthier state of mind lately. if I can be vulnerable, i just realized how unhappy i made myself online and I'm working on fixing my mindset and on personal issues i've been struggling with

Was just thinking about how Vanilla would have a hard time being mean to Chai, even playfully. Had to turn an insult into a pick up line.

A small comic of Chai and Vanilla. Vanilla tells Chai "Oh, I just can't be mean to you, Chai." Chai has his hand on Vanilla's shoulder and tells him "Dude, Vani, it's FINE! Friends jab at each other all the time! Try it!"

Vani doesn't really see what he's doing wrong at first. He's wrapped up in how he's right to be weary of her and eventually he does realize it was shitty of him to do that to Peppermint when she's also someone who shares his ideals and where she comes from doesn't define who she is.

since they are workers and Vanilla wants to make sure they're treated well, just like all the other Vandelay employees. So it makes Peppermint feel even more like she's being singled out by someone she respects when she sees how he is with them vs how he is with her.

Vanilla being someone who reports on corrupt companies for the good of the working class being skeptical of her and her mom is just what comes with the territory. He doesn't hate Peppermint, but he doesn't trust her very much, either. He's more amicable with Chai, Korsica, and Macaron-

In hfr we see that Peppermint gets really defensive when CNMN judges her character and she was afraid of the tea-m finding out she was related to Kale and Roxanne this entire time, so she definitely has issues with her identity and people's perception of her.

The dynamic I'm thinking of with Vani and Pepp is that he's someone she admires because she tunes into the radio show and likes what he does. She's struggling with the idea of him hating her because of Vandelay.
