Wanted to a hairstyle swap with these three!

it's been nice to draw more hfr stuff again...been so quiet cuz i've just been trying to also get into a healthier state of mind lately. if I can be vulnerable, i just realized how unhappy i made myself online and I'm working on fixing my mindset and on personal issues i've been struggling with

Was just thinking about how Vanilla would have a hard time being mean to Chai, even playfully. Had to turn an insult into a pick up line.

A small comic of Chai and Vanilla. Vanilla tells Chai "Oh, I just can't be mean to you, Chai." Chai has his hand on Vanilla's shoulder and tells him "Dude, Vani, it's FINE! Friends jab at each other all the time! Try it!"

The next panel is of Vanilla with a serious look on his face, head tilted slightly, saying "STUPID PANTS." Chai looks at him in shock shouting "MY PANTS AGAIN!? NO HESITATION..."

Comic continuation. Chai looks down at his pants, sad. He says "Man...are they really THAT bad?!" Vanilla looks at him and responds "'Fraid so. You should take them off."

The next panel is of Chai blushing and pointing at Vanilla like, "Wh-OH, YOU SLY DOG!" Vanilla looks away and laughs through his nostrils.

The mini comic on the right is of Vanilla and Chai in a fight. Vanilla throws Chai off by taking off his deathhawk, revealing it's a wig. Chai is confused and in his confusion, Vanilla punches him shouting "GOTCHA!"

The comic on the left is a continuation. Chai and Vanilla are hugging and Chai decides to check if his hair really is a wig and yanks on his deathhawk. It's not a wig and Vanilla shrieks like a freak about having it pulled. Chai says "I THOUGHT IT WAS A WIG?!" and Vanilla responds, flustered, "NO! It's my real hair! The wig was a f**king JOKE! NINJA ILLUSION!"

More doodles. The top left one shows Peppermint and Vanilla in bust shots, colored. Peppermint looks very nervous, her thought bubble saying "OH GOD. HE'S PROBABLY JUDGING THE CRAP OUT OF ME..." Vanilla is looking at her but his thought bubble says "There's a fly in here...I hear it." The fly is buzzing behind him.

The comic on the right is of Peppermint looking sad in her chair saying "He F**CKING haaates me." about Vanilla. A doodle on the side of that is of Vanilla saying "I'm just a guy." Chai looks at Peppermint while holding 808 in his lap. Chai responds "Oh, c'mon! I'm sure he doesn't HATE you! He just SUPER doesn't trust you, or your mom's business!" Peppermint looks at him, tired. They both stand there quietly for a beat. Chai then chimes in "Ok, he might hate you." "Wanna see me make 808 dance?" Peppermint sighs and says "yes..." Chai then makes 808 dance while Peppermint watches with a tired little smile. The doodle on the left of that if of Vanilla talking with Paprika (my bestie's oc). Paprika is telling him "you worry too much. Plus she's cute!" about Peppermint. Vanilla looks at her tiredly and says "I wish you'd take my concerns more seriously..."

The thought of Vanilla doing this in court had me losing it so I had to scribble it...he's NERVOUS!!!

A crudely drawn mini comic of a scenario where my hfr oc Vanilla is in court. Chai and 808 are the prosecutors, CNMN is the jury, and Peppermint is Vanilla's attorney. Chai asks Vanilla if his name is Vanilla Kori. Vanilla panics, looking at his hand for a written down answer only to see he's wearing his glove. He takes it off and sees the smeared yes on his hand but reads it as "yarb." Peppermint exasperatedly tells them to just put Vanilla away in jail.

Last minute image of the SCR-UBs thinking the scrub daddy and scrub mommy sponges are their parents...

Vanilla comments on the effectiveness of the scrub daddy and scrub mommy sponges. The SCR-UBs hear him say this and think of the sponges as their parents. Vanilla almost corrects them, but decides to let them believe this, not wanting to break their hearts.

Various doodles of my hi-fi rush oc, Vanilla, with the SCR-UB units. One doodle is of him confirming that Rocky doesn't want pizza for lunch, with Rocky responding that it's the enemy (Chai)'s favorite. Another is of Vanilla encouraging a SCR-UB with their poetry, Vanilla crying happily with two little scr-ubs, saying they're sweet, Vanilla being nervous about a screw up and saying he might hurl while a worried SCR-UB warns the others of possible incoming puke, Vanilla marching walking with the other SCR-UBs to the next room in need of cleaning, Vanilla after a long work day with his hat off and his hair a mess, and then Vanilla crashing out after work on his couch.

A small comic of Vanilla and Rocky. Vanilla puts some band-aids over Rocky's dents (given to him by Chai) and Rocky shouts that these only work on humans. Vanilla is flustered by his mistake and says the robots at Vandelay can be so human sometimes and that it's the thought that counts, right? AHAHA <- awkward ugly laugh

I love the little detail of all the department heads' drinks having "please recycle!" at the end of the goofy little blurbs on how to enjoy the drinks but Kale's Ginger Ale one just says "recycle." at the end...like he demands you recycle, or else.

Vani+Chai doodle dump 2 Posting the bologna comic again because I added a small bit of dialogue to it. Also look! It's Rocky the SCR-UB after all these years!!!!!!!!!

I kinda got nostalgic for the jacket fit....... I can't tell which one I like more but I think the newest fit has a nice balance of all of Vani's colors while the jacket one still makes me a bit conflicted......I still missed it's vibe tho so we'll see what I end up leaning towards

Outfit swap with Peppermint and Vanilla! #hifirush

A drawing of Peppermint from Hi-Fi RUSH swapping outfits with my hfr oc, Vanilla. They're both somewhat embarrassed/uncomfortable. Vanilla remarks how he's not built for shorts and his thighs are red from rubbing together in shorts. Peppermint is asking if she could zip up the jumpsuit some more and is covering her chest with her hands. 808 is floating next to her in ball form dressed up like a little bat.

An admittedly messy full body drawing of Peppermint in Vanilla's outfit. I wanted to see how I could color her leg in her Vanilla outfit swap. She looks a lot more confident in this drawing, holding Vanilla's whip and smiling. The comic next to it is of Vanilla holding one of Peppermint's blasters. He comments how they're chunky guns and accidentally shoots it, missing Chai by a few centimeters. He apologizes to Chai who is shaking and holding a sandwich while two laser bullet holes decorate the wall behind him.

After the release of the HFR artbook I’ve manifested an idea for Bossplay+Teamplay costume idea for Roulette. Based on Roxanne. Yes. #HiFiRush #HiFiRushOC #Art

A concept sheet for Hi-Fi Rush Roulette’s costume. Since every members of Tea-M has a costume based on each other and the main bosses, I thought “damn, well who is the closest to Ru in terms of Cunt energy?”
And then this design happened. Decided to give her a unique blond bob cut, a fine ass jacket with shoulder pads and a short skirt with a long drape. The drape, the shoulder pads and a striking haircut I consider the most important elements of Roxanne’s base design, so I’ve tried translating them into Ru’s costume.

Coloured doodle of Little Ru being very serious. Look as those glasses… and the one sharp shoulder pads… the power she emanates is palpable.

Art of Roxanne Vandelay, Roulette and Peppermint standing together. The Vandelay family seems to be very much enjoying themselves (unlike Ru), smiling and holding onto their “new member”.
Ru very much doesn’t know how to react to whatever is happening here.

Pro tip: you don’t have to comm artists to boost and support them. People claim they can’t support artists and creators because they are financially strapped, but they can still boost posts, comment, like, and in general just be supportive! It’s completely free outside of an internet connection ;)
