having a hateboner over bts for example, would be more weird today than having a hateboner for any pop songs in the 2010s they are not “playing bts nonstop on the radio and im sick of it” You are not listening to the radio

000

you literally don’t have to listen to normie music now if you dont want to music is more accessible than ever and well there are plenty of indie artists that are making beats that sound like 60s white pop right now if you really want that

100

biggest indicator of the decline of monoculture is “mainstream white pop music from the 60s and 70s was the pinnacle of humanitys music and i was born in the wrong generation“ types are extinct now

i also think one way animation is ever gonna be saved in america is if we get a studio laika but specifically for 2d. we need someone at this point who wants to and has the funds to massively invest in 2d animation just solely for the love of the game regardless if it makes a profit or not.

idk personally i think there should be a balance in investing in both classics and new animation i do think its sad to just entirely abandon legacy

i also feel like its ironic some of our legacy animation is more popular in other countries now looney tunes is more popular in mexico/south america now tom and jerry is more popular in china now i heard the smurfs is more popular in european countries

(even if yall dont like it) gqux itself even bought a bunch of revived interest in gundam from zoomers in japan checking out the franchise for the first time

american executives are like "we shouldnt continue to invest in these titles theyre old theres no point no way they could ever appeal to young people ever again" but like....look at japan...gege no kitaro, osomatsu, detective conan, etc....

idk anybody think its weird that mickey mouse is the face of usa animation but they havent made any movies of him since 2004? doraemon is literally treated with more relevancy in japan 😭

spoke about this before but yeah bruh the revived interest in looney tunes lately thanks to to new movie just made me sad realizing america really treats its legacy animation pretty poorly vs how japan treats its legacy anime....we pretty much only have spongebob left thats treated divinely

ANOTHER meeting this month with her upper bosses about her poor program management and customer service skills stop projecting on to me dumb bitch 👍

funny af she made a comment at me yesterday for opening the door for her without saying “how may i help you” cus i was multitasking while being harassed by HER clients all day complaining about her incompetence and she said that i “need to work on poor service skills” shes getting pulled into =>

two of my coworkers who witnessed her crash out came up to me like “i heard the news, congrats! this place is a shithole and im pretty sure this company is gonna lose our contract with our stakeholders at this point!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
