For Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol the pay ratio comparing him to median employee was 1,794. In addition to being paid more than 1,000 median employees each year at Starbucks, the same was true at his earlier roles at Chipotle and Yum Brands. He may be the only CEO consistently paid 1000x his employees

Microsoft is considering ditching its commitment to match its hourly electricity use with renewable energy purchases by 2030. It's in a race with the other hyperscalers to power up energy-guzzling AI data centers as fast as possible, so apparently a livable climate is no longer a priority.
