With 100 degree temps during family visiting hours today at Delaney Hall, volunteers arranged for an ice cream truck with free ice cream to help families stay cool while wailing. Plus we all need a little joy even, or perhaps especially, in dark times. Especially the kids! #freethemall

Earlier this month I was shadowed by a reporter at my volunteer ministry at Delaney Hall. It was released today ... perfect timing in the midst of what is going on this week. Sadly GEO group and ICE are retaliating against the detainees and families by canceling visitation this week.

I'm really sorry to disappoint Americans, but the pope isn't out here picking bishops to respond to American politics. To say so is to reduce religious belief to partisan politics. It's also wildly arrogant to think that everything in the world is a response to the US president.
