extremely friendly reminder that every 2D Metroid game is currently available on the Switch, if you are interested in Ravenous and haven’t played the series i highly recommend you start with Zero Mission. it is a fantastic remake of the first game and sets up the story perfectly

I think it's like how all the npcs in something like FF7 Remake all look like beautiful super models, unless they're evil. Zelda Npcs tend to be frumpy and quirky, which is intact.

I think Wilds will run at 30fps (which is fine imo), but the textures will take a big hit. 60fps would be pushing it.

Age of Calamity not having a "S2 edition upgrade" for owners of S1 edition is disappointing, but the game runs fine enough that I don't feel the need to buy it again for S2. But If you haven't played it, you like musuo games and Zelda, and you have a s2: enjoy.

Yeah I'd say N64 games could be reimagined, but PS2 is too far. Remaster with updated controls is perfect for anything after 2000. I still see people clamoring for a "Resident Evil 5 remake!!!" and I'm like no! It doesn't need it! I'm surprised Snake Eater got one over MGS 1.

As long as they don't "FF7 Remake" it. Keep it to one game, and don't make it a re-sequel. "Resident Evil 2/4 Remake" it, if anything. RE3 was good but a bit short. Good for quick replays tho. Off topic, I hope Ocarina has good changes.

I'm bored so here's a videogame rant. If your game has a tutorial, please I beg of you, just let me skip/disable it for future replays. Like, I get that tutorials are needed, but if I'm replaying a game for the tenth time, I really don't need to be taught how to open a door again.

I agree on the run time (though I enthusiastically enjoyed the Wild games), but I also find it crazy how classic Zeldas can still exceed that. My last skyward play through was like 50 hours.

Yes! I only watched it recently myself. It was beautiful! But also full of that 80s "stuff just happens" pacing. Which can be fun or boring depending on the event.
