Ownership of the Presidio should be transferred to the City and County of San Francisco. The structure of the Presidio Trust and everything else could stay the same; it just needs to be out of the hands of our unstable federal government.

At your last townhall in California you were asked point blank if you supported soft-secession, and you danced around the answer. Californians are tired of paying the bills for the rest of the country and your stand on this issue will determine whether or not I vote for you!

Tell you what. I'm going to assume you're arguing in good faith and offer you a deal. You read the article and give me your opinion based on its contents (not the graphic), and I'll swap in some non-AI art in its place.

This was more like, we wanted to use ridiculous exaggeration to make the article stick in the reader's, and shitty obviously-AI art seemed to be the best medium for that. Doesn't help if people refuse to read the article because they're offended by the graphic.

Huh, tell me more about your methods of discerning truth! For what it's worth, I think that's our only AI generated image on the entire site, it was meant ironically, and it was made back when AI art was less unambiguously problematic.

As a western-mostly California-formed person in outlook, there are definitely those feelings..the idea of “soft secession” is gaining ground in several of these states-who were originally forced to band together when trump tried to cut off COVID aid to them and favor red states-guess we’ll see.

Not specifying "peaceful" in a secession question costs about 10 percentage points, so our the results of our poll are pretty commensurate with the YouGov poll you have above. There's no ICI magic; our polls are conducted by YouGov too. Just, some respondents don't want to be bombed by the U.S.
