Donald Trump can go f**k himself. Anyone who mocks, demeans or minimises the sacrifices of British troops is no friend of our nation 🇬🇧 The US is a historic friend of the UK’s - but not this guy.

I heard Camp Julien in 2011 was pretty rough if you were a woman trying to avoid being sexually harassed by an officer with an alcohol problem. 🤷‍♂️

I think back to the first episode of Yes, Minister where the civil servants tried to lock the spad in a cupboard, & then under duress suggested giving him an office in Walthamstow (?) or some other detached from Westminster bit of London. They had the right idea….

Supermarket manager vows to fight off US forces after confused Trump mistakenly sends military to Iceland
Supermarket managers have vowed to fight back against any attacks from the US, after Donald Trump repeatedly confused ‘Greenland’ with ‘Iceland’.

I don’t know why anyone would make a deal with any American or American company right now. The dishonesty & unreliability of their national leadership must reflect on them.

They’re cool as. It as also a shame we could only get Japanese Kei cars as grey imports in the UK as well, although the number of Figaros & Beats on UK roads at one point might have made people think they were official.

The Renault 4 is pretty good as well. After a decade or so of “meh”, Renault is starting to deliver the goods again. It would be good to see the middle powers (to steal the Canadian PMs phrase) supporting each other like this.

Nigel Farage has said he's “not making any money as a result of being an MP”. MP's salary is £94k, putting him in the top 5% of earners. Meanwhile he votes to keep workers on exploitative zero-hours contracts and denies them sick pay.

The main reason my comments are so full of rage at the USA is because my 20’s & early 30’s were wasted in conflicts when my country sent me to help the USA when it asked, rather than sending the retched cowards like trump & his offspring who now have the audacity to threaten my nation.

No. Just a keen advocate for one of the most effective ways to reduce home energy bills, make a meaningful contribution to UK energy security, & significantly reduce household environmental impact.

You’re the one asking silly questions fella. But I’ll explain it to you as you seem to be struggling. 1. You have your roof checked to ensure its structurally sound and in good order. 2. You make any repairs/replacement as necessary. 3. Fit solar panels. 4. Remove & refit 25+ years later.

The removal of four sitting US presidents by other mean suggests that’s not strictly true.

Your founding fathers had some very strong opinions about that - I suggest you read their writing, maybe start with the US Declaration of Independence & the essays of John Locke.

As long as they do that inside the internationally recognised legal borders of the USA, we shouldn’t have any blue on blue. 👍

We haven’t forgotten that the US president is a nonce, it’s just he’s trying to start a war with us, and we’re wondering why sane Americans haven’t done anything yet. Hope that clears things up.

It’s nothing but a win for anyone who wants to see a weaker West, EU, NATO, or USA - who would surely lose critical enabling infrastructure across Europe, Canada, & elsewhere. Assuming we give up the myth the USA has ever cared about anyone but itself.

If trump invades Greenland, that legitimises Russias aggression against Ukraine, as well as Chinese desires for Taiwan. It would be anyone’s guess what Euro NATO & Canada would do in that circumstance, but I suspect they’d be too consumed reinforcing Canada, Iceland, Faroes, etc to do much in Ukr.

For future reference both the internet & Bluesky are international platforms. I’m a British Army veteran. You know, one of those ones who spent their entire 20’s & early 30’s fighting Americas wars after it asked for help & spent more than 2 times as long deployed as your VP & DefSec combined.

Just for clarity & to underline the sense of concern - if I’m recalled to service to defend the UK or another committed NATO ally from US aggression, I’m not going to ask who they voted for before I do my job, anymore than our grandparents asked Germans if they were really Nazis before doing theirs.

It’s a tell when they think all opposition to them is “paid”. The idea that someone might act out of altruism, or personal sense of morality or justice, without any further recompense or reward is utterly alien to them. Like explaining long division to a pigeon.
