Sometimes the simple scenes just make me smile :) #abstract #Iceland
Four pebbles on a black sand beach - two blue/greenish and two orangeish - with patterns below them formed by the water running off. Not sure what they look like as a group, but I liked them.

A few more photos of that lovely coastline in south-east #Iceland in March this year. #AwesomeFoursome
A pointy snow-covered mountain in the distance, with a black sand beach and slightly greenish cliff and waves coming in in the foreground. That pointy mountain in the distance again with some sea fog illuminated by the sun. In the foreground the black sand beach slopes downwards to the left and some wet icy bits reflect the blue sky. Black rocks dotted around.B&W view of the beach, wider-angle, with some wispy clouds in the sky and a slight reflection of the pointy mountain in the wet sand.Same beach and pointy mountain with some rocks dotted around.

A rock on a black sand beach. Got a bit of #pareidolia going on with this one. #Iceland
A rock on a black sand beach with some interesting patterns around it. It looks a little like a face, with an eye, kind of nose, and mouth. Not human, but facelike! There is strong light from the left and it's dark on the right.

Leave only footprints... Soon to be taken away by the tides, my footprints on a rarely-visited black sand beach in south-east #Iceland, March 2026.
A line of footprints on a pristine black sand beach that looks brown in the sunshine. In the distance is a pointy snowy mountain, and there are black rocks and stacks at the end of the beach.

How amazing is autumn?! Not many leaves this colour yet, but when you see them it's a real treat 🍂 #autumncolours #autumn #Berkhamsted

Three views of one of Iceland's ice caves, taken in November 2020. Not many tourists in the country then so I thought I'd take the opportunity to visit when it wasn't too crowded. Wish I'd had longer! #Iceland #Canon5Dmarkiii

There's a hole at the end letting in light, and the ceiling is a crazy turquoise sculpture.A triangular view out of an ice cave with pale brown almost desert-like mountains visible in the distance under blue skies. There's some reflection of the light on the scalloped ice inside.Looking out of the ice cave where a man is just visible silhouetted against the lighter entrance.
