The lack of knowledge is astounding. All this information is incredibly easy to come by.

Your table is the rebuttal. Slide one column right of the box, where Kim Wright and the SF Fed put term premium, and 5.25% buys you sub 2% growth. That's not a growth story. That's Treasury supply.

Yes, the hamlet-level navel gazing is gone. The responses are lean and to the point. Same with the vibe coding.

Because you get paid for it over and over and told you are a courageous truth teller ny “serious” people. That’s a pretty good gig if you are barely a mediocrity like Megan.

Yes, roughly. Near the top of its relative power, with demography and debt pulling it down. That makes it more dangerous maybe, not less. And India may be the Macedon in this story—who knows—or someone else. Japan is the reminder that the heir apparent often isn't.

To be even more subtle, Xi may not have a full appreciation of what that means. Arguably China is the peaking power. And we should recall Athens and Sparta are soon to be dominated by Macedon.

Is that almost bland, matter of course corruption a fatal political blow for Collins amid the dynamics of this election cycle?

Humanities are a rounding error in any university budget, and a public university that keeps only what consumers order this quarter has thrown away the reason a state funds one at all.

Over the last couple of days we have got several polls of Dems leading by double digits in the national environment, and ahead in states and districts Trump won by 15+ points. Starting to get hard to deny that Nov could very likely be a bloodbath for the GOP

The threat was never "runs on your PC." It's weights (a file, files move) spun up on rented cloud GPUs, or a model already loose inside a datacenter's own hardware. The compute cost is the actual constraint, which is the argument for guarding it, not against worrying. You dunked on a soundbite.

The flip took about three months. In CBS/YouGov’s March 2025 poll, voters still gave Biden slightly more blame than Trump for inflation. By April it was 54% Trump to 21% Biden. By October, Economist/YouGov had 57 to 24. The only utility left for that blame shifting is to fluff their daddy:

What is weird to me is the asymmerty:what about a parent’s responsibilities in the relationship? What about reciprocity. You get what you put (or don’t put) into things.

Has that debt moved elsewhere? Households traded cheap 30-year housing debt for expensive short-term consumer debt?

Interestingly 40 percent of American Homes are owned free and clear. That seems to have policy implications.

Net worth is concentrated at a top that holds relatively little mortgage debt relative to assets. The debt is more a burden in middle income homeowners whose balance sheet is one house. So this ratio can fall to historic lows while the median mortgaged household is no more comfortable than before
