I think the link is broken. Have you ever heard of perceptual control theory? It posits that we act to determine our perception, keeping things within limits. This could be used to explain why people don't mention having the right whelm, only noticing when approaches the limits.

Feedback loops are the process with which we can update someone's mental models and intuition. Both game design and Perceptual Control Theory discuss this in the context of behavior in similar ways. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMj8Q4ViKzs en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perceptual_co…

Perceptual Control Theory (PCT) models behaviour as a means of controlling perception rather than stimulus responses, offering a powerful framework for understanding self-regulation. Focusing on maintaining desired perceptions, PCT allows nuanced insights into motivation, conflict, and adaptability.

At the International Association for Perceptual Control Theory in Perth. Such a powerful approach to the mind and well-being. Consider me a convert!

This approach resonates with Perceptual Control Theory(PCT),which also seeks to understand the dynamic nature of human systems and the importance of feedback loops. PCT rejects simple cause-effect thinking and instead views human behavior as shaped by ongoing interactions with the environment. (4/6)
