“I think we got it there, lads?”

Went to a pub quiz last night. QM didn’t give any scores at half time or the end. Reason? He didn’t want anyone with a low score to get upset. Give me strength. #brokenbritain .

When his character died I wrote a song, Goodbye, Arthur Brownlow (to the tune of Ruby Tuesday). It went down rather well, albeit to a very limited audience. Unlikely, however, to be revived. The moment could be said to have passed.

Hey, Farage, what’s next? Doxxing firemen because they rescue immigrants from a fire started by your sick followers? And they’re paid! Why aren’t they traitors?

Can you imagine Captain Mainwaring leaving people to drown, burn to death or whatever just because they were Nazis? The very idea.

Describing him as “one of Britain’s richest people” is just misleading. He’s elected not to pay British taxes. In the sixties and seventies being a tax exile was regarded as a bad thing (probably cost David Niven and James Mason knighthoods). Now? The BBC hangs on your every word.

There’s something clearly mentally wrong with a man who spends his life publicly defaming his enemies with made-up rhetoric and then cries “fake news” and does this. www.nytimes.com/2026/09/18/b...

Trump Says He Has Banned CNN, MS NOW and Politico From White House
The president cited reporting from the outlets that he deemed “fake news.” It was unclear how such a ban would be enforced or defended in court.

Anyone else think this £72m is a win/win for Reform? Either they’re allowed to keep the money, or they get to play the victim and blame “the establishment “ again.

“Mollie, don’t forget to answer My Pussy at some point. If you get to the last round and still haven’t done it, just do it, whether it makes any sense or not. The audience won’t care, or even notice. They’ll go bananas whatever.”

Re Trump declaring himself a “High IQ President”. Has he taken an IQ test lately? I have. When I was younger, I scored 160+. Now? At 66, it’s 140 or less. It’s just age. Trumo is much older than I am, and lacks logic, foresight and coherence. High IQ President? And I’m the Queen of Sheba.
000
Ian Payn @ianpayn.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
Because Trump pardoned him. I’m sure that was above board, and no money changes hands. After all, Trumo has a reputation for helping the needy with no concern for material reward.

You know what annoys me (apart from everything)? People who think “descry” and “decry” are synonyms, and imagining it makes them look intellectual using the former when they mean the latter.

For every “Christian” doxxing RNLI volunteers: “O Trinity of love and power, our brethren shield in danger’s hour; from rock and tempest, fire and foe, protect us wheresoe'er they go: thus evermore shall rise to Thee glad hymns of praise from land and sea.”

Actor Noel Clarke has been charged with sexual offences. How unwise it was of him to sue The Guardian. Anything exposed by the paper’s lawyers will have helped build the criminal case against him.

Loads of ancient pigs on Twitter shouting about how someone whose parents might have fought in the war is entitled to beat a woman with a stick at a so-called party conference.

Ian Payn @ianpayn.bsky.social · 05/09/2026
A zealous prosecutor could make a very good case for assault with a deadly weapon. You could easily kill someone by repeatedly hitting them with a heavy stick.

Reform are all in favour of “short, sharp shock” justice.Interesting to see what they recommend for that vile pig who was hitting the woman with his stick.

So, Farage claims Widdecombe was the “most significant woman politician since Thatcher”. Seriously? More than May or Truss? Actual Prime Ministers? She was a minor figure only briefly a minister. Dozens are more significant. No problem with Ann. Big problem with rewriting history.

I don’t think they do. And if he doesn’t go, there’ll be a lot of people going back to the Conservatives or drifting towards Restore.

Quite. Orr clearly a wrong ‘un. As is pretty much everyone in the Reform hierarchy. Farage, of course, throws everyone else under the bus, as usual. “The buck stops here” doesn’t work for him.

Whilst your scenario is perfectly plausible, is it your opinion, ir do you have something to back it up? I have a similar opinion but it’s based on nothing better than intuition. I wonder if there‘a any evidence.

Some years ago I was involved in quasi-legal proceedings. Lots of them. “It’s a witch hunt” “It’s a kangaroo court” “The people judging are corrupt”. They said. Just like Farage. And you know what? They were lying. They were guilty as sin. Just like Farage. Don’t be taken in.

Wow. Last Conservative candidate, Susan “Dopey” Hall based her entire campaign on the ULEZ expansion and lost heavily. Just the other week it was branded a triumph by scientists. And Cleverly thinks having another pop is a winner? How thick is he?
