Tiles (sandboxed apps) in @peergos.org are normally full-screen affairs, but now they can have a tile mode which is displayed directly inline in the newsfeed. The first example of this is the calendar displaying event details directly in your feed rather than having to open the full calendar app.

The other cool thing here is supporting choosing your server directly from the UI. Previously android users on a self hosted server had to recompile the android app for their server. Now they can use the official build! It works on desktop apps too, though they could always change it with a CLI arg.

There are a bunch of new tiles/mini apps released in Peergos now. Weboffice (a wasm build of libreaoffice). Go (multiplayer go over chat api). Mindmaps. Photo rolls. Single click install from "Custom apps" in Peergos. All sandboxed and E2EE as you'd expect from us.

There is a web tile now that can view/edit/save docx, xlsx, pptx etc. in @peergos.org using a wasm build of libreoffice. Super cool!

Had a wonderful time taking my family to Bletchley park to show them where my grandfather worked with Alan Turing breaking German codes. He was fighting fascism by trying to break encryption. I see my work on @peergos.org as also trying to fight fascism, but by protecting privacy with encryption.

I went to my first wassail today. An English tradition where they dance and sing to the apple trees to wake them up for spring. Also involves hanging toast in the trees and ringing bells.

I preferred the small axe, but the big one was also fun.

It turns out axe throwing is incredibly good fun. I think I'll be fine in the zombie apocalypse..
