Back with #xmen90s, and it’s #MarvelComicsPresents #62-71, which are, um, not great. #62 and #63 are a 2-parter, in which #Wolverine saves his friend #TygerTyger (though it takes till halfway through part 2 to confirm that it IS Tyger Tyger) from some smuggler/kidnappers.

I love #2000AD and I'm a big fan of #houseads, those little plugs that the Mighty One inserts in the comic when he can't sell advertising space. So, with the aid of a random number generator and a snipping tool, let's take a look at a few of them, starting with this from #johnwagner and #johnburns:

Back once again with #xmen90s and it's #Excalibur. Issue #24 left on a cliffhanger, with Excalibur back home, just in time for the arrival of #Galactus, beautifully rendered by #AlanDavis. Issue #26 carries on from there, but Davis is on another break, and the art is… a bit less beautiful.

Happy Monday, what's on the #xmen90s stack today? Marvel Comics Presents, that's what? The anthology book that, for sales reasons, always has a #Wolverine strip. Pretty much an inventory stories book, nonetheless this is more 90s than quite a lot of the other X-Books. 1/

We’re back with #xmen90s. One book that’s rapidly heading into the 90s is New Mutants, where Louise Simonson is, as of #86, joined by rising star Rob Liefeld. Of whom we will hear much more in the next couple of years.

And we're back with #xmen90s, and it's X-Factor, another book which still feels firmly in the 80s. Louise Simonson’s writing the book, mostly with Terry Shoemaker on art duties (though, like other books, X-Factor’s not above getting a hot new artist to draw the cover, to lure readers in.) 1/

Let’s pick up #xmen90s with another Claremont book - Excalibur. As of the start of 1990, we’re halfway through the Cross-Time Caper, in which Captain Britain and his chums are bouncing between different dimensions aboard a magic train, having all manner of wacky adventures. 1/

Ok, so let's kick off #xmen90s with the core book. As mentioned previously, there’s no actual X-Men team at the moment, so these issues basically consist of Chris Claremont keeping wheels spinning on his sub-plots, and catching up on some of the missing X-Men. 1/

It’s the last day of #rpgaday2026, and our prompt is Edge. RPGs have lots of ways of giving players edges, those things that give them a wee (or big) advantage in games. Some are purely mechanical, others narrative, but basically I could list dozens of these things: 1/

Last-but-one day of #rpgaday2026. Oh dear. Pride. How do I respond to that one? Am I proud of myself in terms of what I bring to the hobby? Not really, no. I am pleased to occasionally add to the fun and games, but I wouldn’t say I’m proud. 1/

Here comes day 29 of #rpgaday2026, and the prompt is “Labour”. Generally, when I start running a campaign these days (and I don’t do it often - since 2000, I’ve run maybe half a dozen decent length campaigns), I have some idea of where the game is going, even if only vaguely. 1/

Another day, another #rpgaday2026. Today’s prompt is “Hunger”. Hunger in games? Why is that even a thing? I suppose, like spell components and ammunition, it’s another thing that GMs can use to remind players that their characters are in some way bound by the rules of the world they live in. 1/
