1/2 @gidcoe.bsky.social @marcrileydj.bsky.social Thanks for reading my email out last night re last train after gig. My friend Andy worked at Euston in the 1980s; we are going to gigs in London at least once weekly then. Andy, a friend from 1969 - lived in the next street. ...

@osaumarezsmith.bsky.social 1/2. Been reading ‘100 20th-Century Sports and Leisure Buildings’ today. Re your piece on ‘The Leisure Centre Boom’ - me and my family often visited Bletchley Leisure Centre, from our nearby home town of Leighton Buzzard. Good memories of it, including…

Serious clear thinking and total honesty is needed. A lot of that here. My thought: loyalty is a totally overvalued attribute- you’ve got to produce the goods.

@marcrileydj.bsky.social And whilst I remember, that email should have read punk/post-punk, not punk/punk-punk.... Do'h!!! Anyway, Daren Garratt requests that you give him and David Lance Callahan a session on your 'beautiful formed' (my words) show. Daren sends you his love, he says. Over to you...

@marcrileydj.bsky.social Thanks for reading my long email of Monday on your show last night. Tipped off about it, as I was out last night at the Imperial Wax gig (audience varied between 9 - 12, sadly). The band invited me & mate to join them in a drink after, but couldn't as had to ensure we got...

OK. I joined this platform on 14 November 2024. But in less than 2 weeks, I've had to block some right-wing filth/nonsense-sprouting arseholes and also a number of would-be scammers. So Bluesky isn't exactly what we hoped for. But obviously it's still a lot better than X/Twitter. Just keep alert.

My politics are formed by a wish that everyone - yes, everyone, even those horrible people we dislike - should be decently housed and healthily fed, enjoy good health, have a good education, rewarding employment/self-employment and then a decent pension. But it all seems too much to ask for...

I can't keep up with all the activity on this website at the moment (besides doing other things). So excuse me if I haven't followed you yet. And of course, so much activity, that Bluesky went down for a time yesterday - or at least become problematic. So many people joining it at the same time!

Greetings, friends old and new. I’m still on X/Twitter for now but there will be a time when I’m not. So… overlap period. There’s a good feeling about this.
