This is the fundamental takeaway I see killing transparent optics & it’s great to see The Verge express it. A year from now I’m unsure the Snap Specs still ship because of this. The reason you put a computer on your face — the content — is worse in transparent optics even if the “world” is better.

Reactivated an email account on a service I haven’t used in maybe 8-10 years to receive a verification code from another service just to try and remember what happened precisely circa 2015. I’m getting ads on the email service rather than verification codes.

One of the reasons I pour a tremendous amount of time into covering Walkabout, doing a design tour each release, is because I see them as barometer of the overall VR market. If their creative engine can’t run then VR as a games platform is truly in trouble.
