Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 07/10/2026After a very long delay while I waited until I had a free evening, I have added most of the MPs in that list. I've omitted any who haven't posted at all, just as adding them is fairly manual (I need to match the theyworkforyou data and their bluesky id by hand atm). Updates should appear tonight. 111
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 10/09/2026Regardless of the law this is still in the realm of 'things I would be uncomfortable for people around me to be doing without telling me'. Not exactly pervert glasses, maybe 'snooper's watch' or something like that. 000
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 07/09/2026Unironically we would like to do this. Wanted a civil partnership but thought it wasn't going to happen so we eventually settled for a civil marriage. As part of an equal marriage campaign we did actually apply for a civil partnership many years ago. We have the rejection letter framed on our wall. 061
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 26/08/2026Thanks for flagging. I was relying on the list from @politicshome.bsky.social which I think hasn't been updated in a while. I may have to add some manually but am a little nervy since fake accounts are a problem at times. bsky.app/profile/poli... 010
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 26/08/2026On the other hand, don't they only operate within specific zones? So they may not actually be able to go out to the burbs in a lot of cases, making their average journey length lower or similar to taxis. And I believe they tend to be slower, which may have a complex relationship with occupancy. 010
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 14/07/2026We were in Trondheim visiting family during the intense heatwave in June. Had so many people (mainly parents) madly jealous of the max 14C and mostly raining we experienced. We had a 10 month old with us so were relieved to miss out on 30C+ at home. 010
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 09/04/2026Excited about this. Hopefully first of these we can join with 8 month old in tow (pending some more practice with him on the seat). 010
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 03/04/2026My workplace has 'climate perks' to incentivise this - basically 2 extra days leave available if you can prove you used the time to replace a flight with a lower carbon form of transport. It's fantastic and has made it possible for us to avoid flying for most holidays. 080
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 02/04/2026Same in Brighton. Happened to me twice - once right in front of people seated at a cafe, within the 5 minutes I was away. I was hoping the Bosch Smart System Battery Lock would help, but they're paywalled it as a feature. 000

Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 11/02/2026Honestly looking at those pieces, that's a wonderful selection. What a great initiative. (and the window pane one has good upside down potential) 010
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 11/02/2026And how many were upside down this time? Was there an improvement on the figure from last time? Did you feel the need to put one upside down as an easter egg? 110
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 07/02/2026I love the Dragon's Egg bath bomb from Lush. But be careful: you have to sneak it in carefully or you get in serious trouble at the Roman Bath. 010
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 04/02/2026Slightly different suggestion: 'Game Changer'. It's a game show format but the game changes every time, and it's relentlessly fun. My criteria for shows is basically identical to yours and Game Changer (and its spin-offs) have been my go-tos. Great for sad winter days. 030

Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 10/01/2026The Politics Home one others have linked is great. I've been using it for my labellers that put party / parliamentary role / constituency on MP posts / profiles. @roles.mplabeller.uk @parties.mplabeller.uk @constituencies.mplabeller.uk Though there may be others with better implementations than I. 100
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 10/01/2026In case it's of interest, I actually use that list to create these 3 labellers @parties.mplabeller.uk @constituencies.mplabeller.uk @roles.mplabeller.uk. Though the roles one is a bit annoying at times, since it pulls all their roles & committee memberships - which can be a lot. 140
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 09/01/2026Thanks again for putting this together. It's the one I always point at and I've used it a lot myself. Though this reminds me I need to do some labeller updates when I get a moment! 030

Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 09/01/2026There is also a list from @politicshome.bsky.social, which is pretty comprehensive. I use it for my labeller and have found it generally reliable. It's missing a few more recent ones, as most of the MP lists seem to. 020
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 05/01/2026And worse still you then have to transition them out of the swaddle, undoing all the decent sleep we were getting at the time! Though it seems appropriate he first rolled over in a yoga class. 000

Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 10/09/2025Quite common for Bosch bikes. Can't keep my battery on the bike when it's locked up anymore as they're too easy to lever out of the lock. Worth quite a lot of money and not really traceable either. 000
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 31/08/2025Maybe if it's still there tomorrow I'll try to cycle by briefly. I really want to see the size in context of the port. Quite like living nearby - other than when everything is infested with flies. 010
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 31/08/2025Was the visit interesting? I'm at home with a newborn, but am very interested in what I've missed. Just seeing it at Shoreham port seems like it'd be really cool. 100

Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 31/07/2025My main thought when I saw it was 'how many people are going to put this back into AI to summarise it again' 120
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 31/07/2025I had an example of this at work where a colleague wrote ~2 pages notes in clear bullet points. They then asked AI to expand on the bullet points, making the document 15+ pages long! I think probably because they felt this would be more valued. 100
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 28/07/2025Last week we were booking in an induction and we asked about balloon induction. The midwife said they didn't know much about it, so googled it and read us the description from gemini. I don't think it was actively wrong, but it was unsettling to see it used that way by a medical professional. 030
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 18/07/2025Hang on, I think you're making a big mistake - one of those regions is landlocked. I propose we fix this by adding a narrow corridor to the top right. This will provide vital sea access and cause no other problems I can think of. 6933
Ian Goggin @iangoggin.com · 07/07/2025That is what I meant. I like the comparison because the book & movie are the grift, falsifying past accounts and brushing over past bad behaviour (though worse in Frank Abagnale Jr's case). 120
