We must remember the first 9/11 in 1973 when the US overthrew the democratically-elected socialist gov’t of Chile led by Salvador Allende and installed Augusto Pinochet as dictator, who had the “Chicago Boys” overhaul the economy and bring it back under foreign control as the 1st neoliberal country.

It's actually even worse than Talia is making it out to be, my jaw genuinely dropped multiple times. Amin frames trans lesbians as square-jawed, non-passing bourgeois white women who "talked and acted masculine" and didn't care about their appearance, and straight trans women as passing, feminine, working-class women of color who were oppressed by them.
He frames trans women attracted to women as being a white, upper-class, homophobic oppressor class who considered themselves at least partially 'heterosexual men', and claims they had a deep disdain for and privilege over trans women attracted to men (who were all non-white street queens), and then only in the 1980s began to re-evaluate their self-identity to become 'lesbians'
