I want to watch Avatar: Seven Havens but I don’t want to subscribe to another streaming service. I would buy the series, but it’s not on offer. I’ll check back once the season is over, but I prefer to buy not rent especially if I think I’ll rewatch after it ends.

I watched Lanterns and I liked it more at the beginning than at the end. And I think my issue with it was that it was too small.

Watching Dancing With the Stars and noticing that the women are wearing a lot pants. They are beautiful, wide legged pants, but different than dresses that I’m used to.

I’ve never gotten A Goofy Movie. As an elder Millennial, I was too old to have a child’s love for it, and too young to have an adult’s appreciation.

This whole dust up about a song about Texas I’ve never heard before highlights two interrelated issues with music this year. 1. No song of the summer 2. The lack of Black music in the Billboard Top 100

Audible has a problem: every time I see a certain trans phobic author I say I’m not interested. But every few days they pop back up in my authors you may be interested. Do you want me to stop listening? This is something that will push me off the app.

This is my issue with the NHJ piece, she talked about her plans to involve use tutors and be involved. And I don’t mean to criticize someone’s parenting, but it seemed like her advocacy stopped at the principal’s office.

We haven’t had a news worthy story about AI psychosis in months. Do I think that’s because none have happened? No, I think AI companies have gotten better at getting ahead of them. Also, models have been changed to reduce their ability to support that type of behavior.

It becomes a LOT easier to argue to the general public that we shouldn't let the AI industry regulate itself when you can ALSO produce clear evidence that much of the AI industry appears to be steered by genuinely crazy weirdos with anti-social and anti-human ideas.

Is anyone surprised by this? Anyone could see that this is a huge problem. Very few shows have retained or gained viewers. Mostly because you forget what happened over a year ago. And usually the show is too boring to watch a second time.

I will defend Korra till this day. Just because it looks bad, doesn’t mean that’s actually what happened. 200 years is a long time and history can get distorted.

While watching Lanterns, I’m rereading @moryan.bsky.social’s amazing Burn It Down. Just to remind myself of who Damon Lindelof was and hope he does better. I like to think that Watchmen and this suggests he has become less racist. Or at least gotten better at telling stories about minorities

And this is why we say AI rots your brain. It used to be that you had to think of the proposals yourself. And maybe you couldn’t so you wouldn’t do this - which is the desired outcome. But if you did, you would have to come up with something that actually matched the author- maybe.

This is a hard one for me as I used to train DiSC. I think the way that Peter describes the book is makes it seem worse when than I used it. But we also used to only focus on how people acted at work. They change over time.

I briefly thought Canada’s providences should briefly become states to do the funniest thing ever (impeach) then immediately vote to become Canada again. But I couldn’t get the 2/3rds math to work. So besides being offensive, it would serve no purpose.

“The what?” Elliot asked.
“The eppy tomb,” said Luke. “I read it in a book.”
“…it’s pronounced epitome.”
