I last had them in a 2000 Civic DX sedan that I sold in 2015. It was normal for me at that point because I had a string of beater Civics with crank windows. I think we've moved on from them at this point.

Soul was destroyed earlier this evening with a 20 minute FTP test on Zwift, prodded on by my much younger friend Emily & in smaller part, my peer @gewilli.bsky.social 10w lower than my ramp test from last winter, but also much more brutal. Wanted to stop until I hit the 5 min mark. Not bad tho

I could just bring my lecture notes from my History of Rock course that I taught at Quincy College. I could easily go over the 19 hour mark if I had accompanying sound clips. As it was, punk rock and funk each filled almost 3 hour blocks.

Funny thing about losing weight (~10 lbs) & bumping FTP over the winter (273w > 287w): My regular road loop of ~20 miles and 980' of climbing would be considered a decent clip at 15.0 mph. Now I'm doing it at 16.4-16.7 comfortably. I'm still amused/shocked I pulled that off as I near 53 in May. 🙂

#wcbs This TLC Type S owner had a new spicy exhaust on his car and NGL it sounded pretty good. Very racecar with the paddle shifters. He clearly enjoyed the noisemaker aspect of it, on slow Providence streets.

These are photos from the April 1980 issue of Architectural Digest that I tracked down awhile ago Myron Goldfinger's Schulman house aka the Millennium house in NJ. It was owned by a couple of scoundrels after the original owner & fell into disrepair, almost a goner. It's getting restored now. 🙂
