fascist gamers got so mad at a guy who was working on a Fallout: New Vegas mod that they called ICE on him. suspect we'll see more of this kind of thing in the future. what a nightmare.

headline: Ambitious Fallout: Nuevo
Mexico mod cancelled to
prioritise developer's mental health and "face reality"

"Continuing forward simply isn't sustainable."

The creator of a big Fallout: New Vegas mod called Nuevo Mexico is being deported to Mexico because he was reported to ICE by other Bethesda fans

Hi! Just felt obligated to say that the reasons listed are complete bullshit

- its actually because we put in an ICE tip on the project lead, and he's being sent back to Mexico

I like how elegantly you’ve called out that greg abbott is part of this new maga/pro-trump party. The issue is not democrat versus republican, it’s fascist-maga versus… everyone else? It’s a philosophical question I guess, but who are “we” in contrast? Are we all truly democrats, or anti-fascists?

I meant to write “public-facing websites,” my bad!

So, what are our alternate systems for sharing information about women’s health and the impact of new laws on women’s bodies? Do we have a Google Sheets document going around?

Kween Megatron @iamakween.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

But I think that assuming that because the data has been purged from public-facing data means that we are facing an all-powerful enemy, assumes that trump and elon have way more brains and strategic thinking than they do.

I realize that the answer is supposed to be that people are not supposed to be able to share information in a fascist government to prevent voters from organizing against the people in charge.

Question: if more laws about abortion are being passed and the CDC is purging published data about people’s health, how will we know how many women are dying because of bans?

Some days I am Marge, some days I am Homer 🤷‍♀️

Four panels, Simpsons cartoon.
1, 2: Teacher says, “Put your garbage in a garbage can, people. I can’t stress that enough.”
3: Marge mutters, “This is so humiliating.”
4: Homer takes notes, “Garbage in garbage can. Makes sense.”

With climate change inevitable, more on-the-ground disaster workers will be needed. Could a model like California’s, training and using incarcerated people to fight climate disasters, be scaled nation-wide as the modern Civilian Conservation Corps?

I never thought it was that complicated 🤷‍♀️ Add the optional step: “apologize if you did an oopsy!” Preschool-level rules are too complicated for some people

A simple guide to avoiding cancellation: 1) Keep your hands to yourself. Fans & colleagues aren't there for your sexual gratification. 2) No, really. Keep your hands to yourself. 3) Don't say hateful shit. 4) Avoid thinking hateful shit. It's not hard. 5) That's it. Hands. Hateful shit. Really.

If so, are we dropping any pretense that putting Trump and Musk in the president’s office is intertwining Twitter with the federal government, and creating the dumbest monopoly?

I just received an Amber alert with a link. Since the alert was labeled “Child Abduction,” I immediately clicked the link and was brought to X. I have never had Twitter or X, and there is no option to read the alert without an account. Is an X account required to receive Amber alerts? #amberalert

Your late thirties is a weird age. The mind wants to party but the body aches. Is there a club for people who want to dance to house music and take ecstasy on Saturdays between noon to 5pm? I want the matinee club experience. I want to drop it like it’s hot at a reasonable hour.

2 of 2: How much more taxpayer money and resources into the failing criminal justice system will it take to untangle the everyday injustices that everybody faces when they interact with the law? Sometimes I think we as a country should defund the police, take a breath, and rethink the entire system
