Do some family tree research and currently looking through online registration books from Lisbon trying to fund my Great Grandmother’s birth. This current book is 900 pages and a real strain on the eyes.

Useful statement to use against those saying there is no difference between donations from mega rich individuals and unions. They still won’t believe you though.
Unite funds used for the Labour Party are separate from our general political fund. All Unite members have the right to opt out of the general political fund.

It's a tricky one and good that they are thinking of how to modify the criteria and potentially system. The fire service would have been worried about the threat to life. Maybe a different approach for Emergency and Urgent like they do in NHS design system. The latest without the klaxon??
Rhodes thinks the wildfire alert arguably met the bar for urgency and severity, but perhaps not for certainty of a threat to life.

A bit more detail on the scheme.
Young people will take part in workplace visits, careers sessions, practical work experience and sessions on CVs, interviews and applications – all designed to build confidence, improve communication skills and provide insight into careers across retail, logistics, food, technology and business.

The programme brings together a range of opportunities for different age groups. Younger students will receive a mix of school-based learning and workplace experience designed to introduce them to the world of work, while older young people will receive targeted support with CV writing, interview skills, job applications and career planning. Schools across the country are being encouraged to get involved from September by contacting The School Outreach Company, ahead of the programme starting in October.

46 years ago my best friend at school went to see The Jam at Guildford Civic Hall when I caught Rick's drumstick and got these autographs during the sound check. Tomorrow, we are both going to see Mr Weller again at Ludlow Castle. Older, maybe a bit wiser and still wearing Fred Perrys.

You are definitely not alone in feeling that way. If you are talking about the "Dear Sydney" campaign aired heavily during major sporting events—where a father uses AI to draft a fan letter to Olympic hurdler Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone on behalf of his young daughter—it has sparked a massive wave of public backlash.

The logic of voting Reform because Labour have been improving things is interesting
That hope is optimistic. “Labour deserve to lose,” said Janet Wight, out with her husband, Morgan. “They do a lot now but all the improvements have happened since Sunderland lost out to becoming city of culture [in 2021]. That’s when it started. Before then everywhere, the seafront and everything, was rubbish. I think they deserve what they are going to get.”
