We’ve known what Trump is for decades: an inhuman charlatan, totally devoid of empathy and compassion. A moral monster. Yet conservatives and Republicans defend him and invest him with power, a power that he now threatens the world with. They are as much to blame for the current catastrophe as he.

anyhow it's an old book and the term isn't well known or widely used at all. critical scholars & activists who bring together XJ & Palestine today are not using it or saying they're equivalent, but rather make comparisons, connections & build transnational solidarity beyond geopolitical binary.

I don’t refuse to explain why my statement is correct, the explanation comes from the OP and my comment. If you can’t connect the two, then I’m not going to move forward in the conversation. You’ve failed to actually argue against what I said, and instead ask me to repeat, which is what I refuse.

Telling you that you didn’t understand something, then giving you a hint to clarify meaning isn’t a ad hominem. Yeah, I was mean, but you were stupid (again, not an ad hominem, just a statement of fact).

"All people should go back to the land where their ancestors lived" is in fact a deeply reactionary political sentiment, no matter how much you may try to dress it up as progressive and liberatory.

The above shows otherwise dude. The fact that 35% of registered voters didn’t vote also shows that. Do you think that if the 35% did vote it’ll all go to Trump? There wasn’t a stay home campaign on the right, but there was on the left.

Do you think Kamala’s dealings with Israel would be the same as trump’s? I mean come on man. This is why I don’t engage with bad faith actors.

I never said vote for a blue candidate regardless of their position. You’re making things up and acting in bad faith.

It answered her own question. “How tf did this happen” well there was a huge contingency of leftists who actively work against progressivism.

The main point here is the user the post is about said in 2024 said “hope she loses” meaning Kamala loses to Trump, while also not supporting Trump. She defaulted to Trump purposefully and acknowledged it in 2024 that that’s what she was doing.

朱熹研究天理 @iacobusstudies.bsky.social · 05/04/2026
Yes it does. If you don’t vote, it’s fair to say you defaulted to the winner, and also fair to say that you don’t support the winner. The point is that you can’t say the ~35% that didn’t vote supports Trump, while at the same time placing blame on some of them for making this vote a purity test.

(I need three now) stupid this website is at engaging in argumentation, and that’s the reason I don’t often do it to bad faith actors. I’m wasting my time writing something that you either lack the capacity to understand or refuse to do the work to read, in the former case this is wasted effort on

朱熹研究天理 @iacobusstudies.bsky.social · 05/04/2026
Here I’ll be generous: not voting means your vote defaults to the winner, so even if you don’t support a candidate who won you would still have voted for them. The fact Kamala lost is the reason “not voting for Trump” is different from “not voting for Kamala.” The fact I need two tweets shows how

No, you don’t lol. Reread my first comment again — this is the only answer I can give. Unless you show that you’re willing to engage in good faith then I’m not going to argue. Asking such a question is either arguing in bad faith or because you lack basic reasoning skills.

朱熹研究天理 @iacobusstudies.bsky.social · 05/04/2026
No, I understand the question, which is why I’m pointing out it’s irrelevant to what I said. You didn’t understand what I said and it’s very clearly written.

Yeah, because I’m not going to put in the work of clarifying to someone who is either arguing in bad faith or not willing to learn. I had offered to help you understand my comment but you’ve doubled down and ignored my offers, so why would I clarify instead of keep pointing out that you’re an idiot?

Catholics made the right choice by reading the Old Testament against its literal reading as a prefiguration of Christ because there's some very disturbing stuff in there if you take it literally!

Seriously, if you wanted to engage with my argument, you would’ve asked for clarification when I said “you didn’t understand my comment.” Instead if of doubling down.

朱熹研究天理 @iacobusstudies.bsky.social · 04/04/2026
I’m not defending my argument right now, I’m saying you didn’t understand the argument I presented, and to me that’s because you lack reading comprehension. You doubled down on your point which solidifies what I thought. Again, your reading comprehension is a bigger problem.

I’m not insulting you, I’m telling you that you didn’t understand the comment. The third grade reading level wasn’t something I made up, but based on actual rubrics of “if you didn’t understand this, it would put you below this reading level.”

It’s not an accusation, I’m telling you that you didn’t understand my comment to the point that I feel your reading comprehension is a much bigger problem here. If you had actually understood what I said then I would address that, but you need help understanding some very basic writing.

Bro, you are literally struggling to understand a comment of less than 50 words, I think you need help. As in, you need to have a teacher walk you through my comment like you’re in elementary school. I’m not kidding. I’m actually dumbing this comment down so you understand it. How old are you?

朱熹研究天理 @iacobusstudies.bsky.social · 04/04/2026
No, but you did just put on display the fact that you lack competent reading skills. If you need me to I can walk you through a comment that requires a third grade reading level.

Both a great example of why “not voting for Harris is voting for Trump” and “not everyone who didn’t vote supports Trump.” These things are true at the same time, and the radical left is as much to blame from Trump as the moderate right.
