If I put my genre as pop music do I get 10x the downloads? Is it popular because I said so or does it have to be popular and then I can say so? So many rules.

One reason to outsource mastering to a mastering engineer is the good tools cost more than hiring them would. There's nothing under $200 that isn't going to mess your mix up, and mastering engineers often use specialized DAWs and decent monitoring tools. Of course, we do what we can afford.

Still enjoying learning to use Reaper. So far, I haven't run into anything it can't do that Studio Pro can, though sometimes it's a little frustrating figuring out the workflow. Comping still feels clunky, but like most things it's probably because of flexibility to do something I don't need.

So much singing instruction directly contradicts transgender feminizing voice training, or relies on one-size fits all instructions like "don't raise your larynx" that is just frustrating to someone with a resonance-first technique. Luckily there are techniques that meet you where you are.

Imagine for a moment that Talarico or Turek or some other Democrat conceded a different (non-trans-related) issue to their Republican opponent. For instance, what if they said that, if elected to the Senate, they would vote for a nation-wide ban on mifepristone. Would you expect women and other pro-choice voters to “keep quiet” until after the election before speaking out against that position? Of course you wouldn’t!
If that doesn’t persuade you, just think for a moment about a political issue that is most important to you personally. Do you have it in mind? Now imagine how you would react if a Democratic Senate candidate conceded that issue to Republicans. Wouldn’t you immediately and loudly protest their position change? To let the candidate know that they made the wrong decision, in the hope that they might eventually reverse course?

If you look at elections as a choice between finished, final, products who cannot be further pressured or influenced by potential voters, you are giving up a lot of territory. One of the best times you can exert that pressure is when you have something they need. Your vote, your friends' votes.

I was unaware until it came to Amazon, but there is an adaptation of The Pendragon Cycle by Stephen R. Lawhead. I don't have an opinion on the books, but the series was failing my sniff test and I looked up the producer and there it was, the guy behind The Daily Wire. Avoid. Go read your Mabinogion.

I can't praise the original Shure KSM32 enough. It deserves to be up there with the SM57 in terms of utility. It's one of those "It's on the stand; I'll sing into it and re-sing it later on something fancy" but you keep the take in the end.

This Conklin, with its black ends and orange chunk acrylic is reminiscent of the famous Delta Dolcevita celluloid and descendents. It is not, of course, and Conklin quality control is uneven. I had to replace the converter. Nice Halloween pen under $60. It reminds me of orange candy.

One thing that democrats could do to help trans people (or you know, just win) is shut up. Unless they are trans, of course. It's bad enough one side wants to appoint themselves experts in order to be disingenuous. I don't think the answer is to meet them halfway.
