Folks, we've received some good news. While my client Ernest never heard back from the moderators, his ban did expire one day earlier than expected, so his account is now back up. He'll be migrating to a different PDS before resuming regular posting, but once that's done you should see him again.

I know on Blacksky they copy bluesky mod decisions by default, but if you're on their PDS and you email them asking to investigate, and they find that you didn't violate their TOS, they'll let you regain your account. but your posts won't be visible on bluesky for as long as the ban lasts.

His ban runs out at 8:15-8:20pm-ish EDT on May 31st. I'm forbidding him from posting until he migrates to either eurosky or blacksky, he can't stay on the Bluesky PDS! We found out he can't migrate until his ban expires, but once it does he's going to run that migration.

Yeah, my client asked the good people at Blacksky support and they said pretty much the same thing. One thing is for certain, he'll be migrating to either Blacksky (on myatproto) or Eurosky as soon as he possibly can after his ban expires. Staying on the main Bluesky PDS is too risky for him!

Something like that happened to one of my other clients. He was a real peaceful leader until he discovered democracy, then he was accused of throwing nukes around willy nilly! That was a tough case to defend!

While it seems he was able to beat the charges, it does strike me as alarming that personal grievances seem to be influencing decisions like these. I don't think this labeler is acting as advertised! I urge everyone to seek alternative labelers, and discontinue use of Skywatch. Thank you.
