this year & all future years should be the time where we start putting in the effort to reading the works of small creators and talk about them to all our friends and also strangers. most of the recs for work i love ive gotten from people who know me and my tastes really well, not a trending ig reel

hihihi, look at my new comic! it's a (verrry loose) dream diary-esque thing. the first chapter is about a dream i had just about a week ago! only two pages available to read for now (so basically what's on this post) but you can follow me on cf for future updates: comicfury.com/comicprofile...

first page of the comic "in our deepest dreams". it features an anthropomorphic cat meeting a sphinx in a modern city. the sphinx has a gentle expression on her face, while the cat looks confused and concerned. the limited palette used on this page consists of browns, oranges and teals. the bottom of the page lists the chapter's name: "dream 1: the riddle"

second page of the comic "in our deepest dreams". coloured in the same limited palette as the first one. the sphinx is shown to be missing her wings, and is bleeding heavily from the back. she greets the cat character, and they express concern about her wound, asking what happened to her. she lowers her head to their level, and asks if they wish to hear her tale, to which the cat replies with enthusiasm, "yes!" the sphinx is glad they are showing interest in her story.

I already said it, but I will say it again - we need better MODERATION tools, not censorship guidelines. Automod is still incorrectly flagging art as explicit content when too much skin is showing or it represents LGBTQ+ community. We should be given more labels to what we post, not this.

people can issue consent. things cannot. drawings & sculptures & fictional characters are things. they are property. they are NOT real people. requiring fictional characters to issue consent is an insult to real people w/real problems how does bsky expect to get consent from something like marble?

Two humanoid unicorns, leaning close with their bejeweled horns touching. Micah, the one on the left with faded purple hair and dark skin, is gripping Caius' by the wrist as the pale white unicorn leans in for what might be a teasing kiss. A linearted illustration of a fair prince reaching to touch a golden dragon's snout, the dragon's head bowed low to meet the prince's touch. Ruanon has a bracelet around one of his horns, matching the one adorning prince Llyr's wrist. A black, starry night sky stretches above them, the wind ruffling Llyr's clothes and his long, partially braided hair. Both are cast in the nearby campfire's yellow glow.

"One half of me is yours, the other half is yours, Mine own, I would say; but if mine, then yours, And so all yours." #oc

Old Pride themed oc art from 2023. Two knights (Lugh with curly, silvery hair and Mordreaux with a golden circlet and long, dark hair) sit together underneath a rainbow colored blanket. Mordreaux is grinning warmly as he leans against Lugh's chest with Lugh's golden, prosthetic arm wrapped around Mord's shoulders in a loose embrace. The flowers framing the pair match the colors of the gay pride flag with soft hues of teal and blue.

You don't have to make money off it. You don't have to get published. You can literally just create it, fail, learn, and make more

🩸 Quote with your red art 🩸

A mage with a long auburn hair struggles against a gargantuan beast, its growling jaws inches away from his face. The background has sparks flying around, the glow of roaring frames washing out all the other colors.

A forest scene of two knights leaning in for a kiss. The sun is setting and casts the taller man in searing orange light. A branch of a rowan tree obscures their faces. The moment is both intimate and tense.

A brown-haired Miqote stands alone in field of sunflowers, the sun setting behind her. There's a hint of blood on the sunflowers' leaves, her expression troubled.

An old drawing from 2022. Lugh kneels on the ground, his sternum split with a glowing gash as he looks up at a spectral figure who's offering him a hand. The scene is dream-like, out of place and time, with a dead man lying before him on the floor. A golden circlet rests between them on the bloodied ground.
