A new weekly bus service has launched, helping to improve access to essential services for residents in the Clarences. For many people, limited transport options can make it difficult to reach places outside the local area. This can create real challenges when trying to access healthcare etc.

From Catalyst Stockton: Volunteering Matters’ Volunteer Driver Service, funded by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, provides support to those in need by giving access to volunteer drivers. Passengers are referred through community groups and local organisations or statutory services.
