The National Commission for AI Regulation has published its recommendations on how AI should be used in the NHS. We urge the government to adopt these safeguards and involve patient bodies in the final decisions on the protections needed. Read our response bit.ly/4gYQhqb

How do people feel about AI scribes in healthcare?

- Just 29% would be comfortable with an AI scribe recording an appointment about mental health.

- By comparison, 48% would be happy with an AI scribe being used during a routine appointment.

- 69% would feel more comfortable if a health professional checked the accuracy of AI-generated notes.
