Getting slight Sinestro Corps vibes from the new [MCU] X-Men logo (Something about the way the ring is cut below the upper arms, and above the lower arms of the X)

I went with games that shaped my gaming habits, rather than those that shaped me (comics, books, tv and movies had a much greater influence). Honorable mentions to Batman: The Movie; Jaguar XJ220; and Hexen. my9games.net
Computer Hame cover art from Shadow of the Beast 2; Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles (arcade); Fantasy Land Dizzy; Lemmings; Moonstone:A Hard Days Knight; Legend [The Four Crystals of Trazere]; Street Fighter's 2; Baldur's Gate; Mass Effect

A second one today I refused to pick up because it arrived at the parcelshop broken in half. 🧵2/2
Picture of a long thin parcel lying on a shop counter, wrapped untidly in a black plastic bin bag and brown parcel tape, and folded in half.
Reader, it was not something that was ever meant to be folded

I'd yiu see this, quote the energy you bring to Bluesky. (Not just Bluesky, this is pretty much the energy I bring to everything)

Understood, should the worst ever happen, I'll lower my rat intake.
A screenshot of a Diagram from a Science article. which gas been clipped by Facebook.

A description below the title reads "Dietery lipids boost the production of prostaglandin E <suffix>2 (PGE<suffix> 2), a metabolite that mediates inflammation in mouse lung tumors. This activates vagal sensory nerves, signaling (sic) the brain to promote sickness behaviours such as loss of appetite and cachexia."

The image shows a silhouette of a rat next to a pile of food. An arrow labelled 'dietery lipids' points from these down to am image of a tumor, labelled "Prostaglandin E <suffix>2 (PGE<suffix> 2).
Another arrow points down to a label "Vagal Sensory" the rest is cut off.

At the very top of the image, the tops of the title of the diagram letters of a first line are cut off, so that it could read 'A high-rat diet can worsen the consequences of cancer'

"In response to trends in the gaming industry, as of 1st April 2027 Domino's UK will cease production of physical pizzas and shift to production of digital pizzas only.
Co sumers will be able to download our full range of delicious pizza codes and, using the power of imagination, enjoy them in an entirely virtual sense."

Corrigendum: the catchphrase he wanted to use was "git 'r done" which was tied to Larry the Cable Guy, c.f. Entertainment Weekly: ew.com/tv/2017/08/0...
Engage!” and “Make it so.” So on his first day on set playing Captain Lorca — a steely American with a slight southern accent — Isaacs started saying what he thought would be the perfect ad-libbed phrase to embody his character’s commanding demeanor: “Git’r done!”

“I was so cocky,” Isaacs recalls. “I’ve only been here an hour, and already I have my catchphrase “

Then the producers then explained: “Git’r done” was already taken. By the comic Larry the Cable Guy. Who even has it copyrighted. Still, Isaacs’ instincts were totally correct — “git’r done” is demonstrably catchy.

Lovely sky tonight, but all the clouds are in just the wrong places to pick out any of the planets, except Venus. Also, I suddenly have a urge to play #MassEffect fir* the umpteenth time, can't imagine why. Also can't understand why autocorrect has somehow developed an accent. Regional update?
The western sky at dusk from Musselburgh.
A garden fence runs along the bottom of the photo.
From the far right hand side of the photo, where fence meets sky, a cloud bank arcs up and across the scene (or it did in life, the photo has straightened it out into a dramatic hypotenuse).
A streetlight occupies the bottom left hand corner, while Venus defiantly shine through the cloud at the top, just left of centre.

Alas the biology school will not be rolling out my design for the Open Access service #OpenAccess
An Open Access symbol (itself a stylised open padlock which itself is a stylised amalgamation of the lower case letters 'a' and 'o' ) stylised as a giraffe, with its spots shaped to represent silhouettes of a leaf, an insect, a frog, a DNA helix, a butterfly, a cell, a molecule, and a biohazard symbol.

You're working up to something like this? (Found second hand in Foursquare in Edinburgh maps.app.goo.gl/f8ncJkiZdseh...)
Sewing desk.
A wide desk bookended with drawers, while in the middle a Sewing machine sits on a low shelf, which can be raised to desk height, through a hole cut into the worktop.

An improvised apple and plum crumble. The crumble itself has a crispy top layer, slightly chewy cookie middle, then a rich caramelised lava before you get to the fruit later
_Apple and plum crumble_

Preheat oven to 180 degrees C (for Fahrenheit conversion, consult Finnemore, J.)

_Crumble_
165g brown flour
35g oats
5 heaped tablespoons soft brown sugar
6 flat tablespoons soft brown sugar
170 g soft salted butter
Rub together with fingers and put in fridge

_Fruit_
6 plums slice skin all the way around each plum fruit stem to stem; place in a pan and pour boiling water (then leave to deal with apples)
2.5 apples peeled, cored and thinly sliced (3-4mm), microwave for 1 minute until soft and arranged evenly in the base of a 8" by 4" dish
Drain plums, they should slough easily from their skins. Stone and roughly chopped them and evenly arranged over the apples.
Take chilled Crumble mix and gravel a 0.5 inch layer over fruit

Bake in oven for 30 minutes
Allow to cool

Serve with custard (not cream, not ice cream, custard!)A dish containing half an apple and plum crumble. Credit me with some self-restraint, please!
