Again though, in my experience (anecdotal, I know) everybody in our village is chilled back to fuck. The pace of everything is glacial & most of the time, all you can hear are the birds & the odd dog barking. Even the bars & restaurants are fairly low-key, even when full.

The south of Spain is one of the quietest places on earth, outside the big city's because there's fuck-all there. The population density of Jaen Province (where our village is) is 45 / Km. For comparison, Norfolk's is 175 / Km. Depends where you go. 😜
