Just experienced 20 minutes of rain for the first time in forever and the petrichor is blowing my mind. Definitely can’t wait for cooler, wetter weather.

Another superb addition to Nolan’s filmography, an absolute must on IMAX, but I found it problematic in a number of ways. Visually outstanding with pacing that never made it feel slow. Terrifying at times and some outstanding performances from certain characters. A solid 7/10 from me. Go see it.

Thank you, Stephen. Glad you enjoyed my mindless ramblings! It’s AOTY for me. Going to be very hard to beat.

The BoC rabbit goes deep, very deep. At times I struggled to climb out! Really appreciate you reading my thoughts. Thanks again x

Thank you, Nick. Our shared excitement and anticipation in the build up to the release certainly aided my descent into the BoC abyss. Really appreciate it 🙏

Thank you, Paul. Means a great deal x

I’ve spent a fortnight being consumed by Inferno. The more I listened, the more questions it seemed to raise. What started as a few notes soon turned into a track-by-track exploration of the album and the ideas I found within it. If you’d like to read my thoughts then please click the link. Thanks.

Ridiculously good. Worth the 13 year wait 🧡

Tape 05 sounds so cinematic. That harp ripped me to pieces. Everything revealed so far points to a TH feel. I cannot wait for what’s coming.

Had to go and hunt them out. Even more excited now @warprecords.bsky.social have posted them on their Insta account… We all need new @boardsofcanada.bsky.social

Slowly, slowly. Front wall SBIR absorption panel now in place as well as the ceiling cloud. Next up: tackling the rear wall and some side wall absorption.

Totally. Can’t wait to get it all done now. I did look at the GIK products and then chose the DIY route. Mine did cost a bit as I went with the pro fabric which bumped the price up, but was still cheaper than buying ready made.

Human Concept @humanconcept.bsky.social · 13/03/2026

Thanks mate. No need to apologise! My daughter said exactly the same thing, ha! Hope you’re well. Have you had any new music out recently? I’ve been so out the loop. Can’t wait to get back to production.

Human Concept @humanconcept.bsky.social · 13/03/2026

Thanks Preston. Really enjoyed this project. The material is Camira Cara in their Lomond colour. It’s an acoustically transparent weave so annoyingly it’s quite see-through. I don’t mind seeing the cross brace myself. Got to tame those lows!

After a very long home renovation project, I’ve finally been able to concentrate on what will become my new space. Spent the last fortnight building superchunk bass traps from scratch. Lots of research, trial and error but I’ve finally finished them. Next up; SBIRs and Cloud Absorption.

Certainly was Stephen. Deep, trippy and bass heavy. Perfect.

This year has pulled me in many different directions, sadly none of them music/production related. I’ve also been a lot less present across social media than I used to be. That aside, to anyone who is still following and sees this, I wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy 2026 x

Barely on social media these days, so the rare occasion I open up Bluesky and see your post makes it extra special! Congratulations to you both mate. Hope you’re keeping well and baby is doing well. Awesome news x

Good work. I was meant to be at the gym today but a 4:30am start after 3 hours sleep put paid to that thanks to my old pal insomnia.

So frustrating mate. Happy to eventually bag some overpriced tickets though 😂 Hope you’re keeping well Paul.

Human Concept @humanconcept.bsky.social · 16/07/2025

… on the map. Such a crap service, unnecessarily stressful and the flakiest of websites. Good news though! Finally cut through the bullshit and nabbed 2 tickets to see Deftones next Feb with my daughter 🤟

Human Concept @humanconcept.bsky.social · 16/07/2025

RANT: Total headache courtesy of AXS Tickets this morning. Accused of being a bot multiple times, claims my VPN was blocking me from booking (I don’t have one), then stating 2 tix can’t be booked where only 3 seats remain due to individual seats being left, even though there were loads of them…

210

Human Concept @humanconcept.bsky.social · 15/07/2025

Just shitification of a once decent service. So annoying.

010

Human Concept @humanconcept.bsky.social · 15/07/2025

It’s too broad. It doesn’t explicitly limit usage to only improving moderation. The second half is the killer: ‘Such license includes the right to reproduce, distribute, modify, prepare derivative works based upon, broadcast, communicate to the public, publicly display, and perform Content.‘

110

Human Concept @humanconcept.bsky.social · 15/07/2025

Why does every flipping company have to sign up to this bullshit? Been using WT since day dot. Urgh. Surely this is a massive Ratner moment considering the entire platform is based on use by creatives who most likely don’t want their work used in this way?

I often question my decisions in life but none more so than today when I’ve decided it would be a good idea to finish boarding the loft. 25°c outside, it must be 35°c+ up there. Upside, I’ve lost 3st today.

An intense and immersive performance from Abul Mogard last night at St John’s church on a chest crushing soundsystem proving that ambient/drone sounds best when played LOUD.

060

Human Concept @humanconcept.bsky.social · 12/07/2025

No idea if that was his doing or the press? Was a bit out there though!

Haha. Yes, he revealed his true self fairly recently.

North Norfolk is lovely. Wells and Holkham have fantastic beaches. Sheringham National Trust is a great place for woodland walks. Cromer for more touristy stuff. Also The North Norfolk railway to Holt is a fun day out.
