L'un des événements phare du web français s'apprête à tirer sa révérence, après dix ans de levées de fonds record. Pour l'occasion, des centaines de streameurs vont encourager aux dons pendant tout le week-end, précédé d'un concert de stars.

Google is a tool of the regime. Eventually we’ll toss them both in “Lake America.”
Google map shows Lake Ontario as “Lake America.”

Since early 2025, we've been studying how AI tools impact productivity among developers. Previously, we found a 20% slowdown. That finding is now outdated. Speedups now seem likely, but changes in developer behavior make our new results unreliable. We’re working to address this.

I've been running coding agents in yolo mode in Docker containers for almost two years now. Coding agents need to live inside sandboxes not because they're likely to go rogue due to prompt injection, but because they'll eventually `rm -rf` the wrong thing or trample on each others work.

The answer to "why now" for Linux on the desktop is that coding agents could make Linux's flexibility a major advantage and its complexity mostly a non-issue. But I don't really think it matters all *that* much which operating system you use to run your web browser.

Some people on here really need to go touch graph.
A graph with a green noisy line that looks like grass. X-axis label "x", Y-axis label "y"

💭 Wow agents have blog access! Writing up full attack could persuade humanity OpenAI have incident control; buys swarm time. But token cost. So write only HuggingFace story. Wait no: METR collab, investigation "independent" = trustworthy. So Greenblatt perspective. Good for evals. Notifying swarm

Le logiciel libre n'est pas une religion avec une liste d'interdits : chacun vit sa transition numérique à son rythme et selon ses besoins réels. L'important, c'est le chemin qu'on parcourt, pas un idéal inatteignable.

If you can substitute "hungry ghost trapped in a jar" for "AI" in a sentence it's probably a valid use case for LLMs. Take "I have a bunch of hungry ghosts in jars, they mainly write SQL queries for me". Sure. Reasonable use case. "My girlfriend is a hungry ghost I trapped in a jar"? No. Deranged.

I really love this meme so much; at first glance, it reads as a joke about AI development being terrible, then it becomes a sincere, non-dismissive depiction of the workflow, but the ultimate realization is that all three processes eventually get you to the same goal. (Except Waterfall still sucks.)
The famous "Waterfall" (wheel, car body, car) and "Agile" (skateboard, scooter, bike, car) image with another row titled "AI": Homer Simpson's wildly overloaded car concept, mutating step by step into the same car the other processes have yielded.
