Funnily enough I’ve got another Spice Girls blend going around in my head - Mama acapella blended with Dexter Wansel’s Theme from the Planets… I think the Wansel drum break is actually on the Spice Girls song buried in the mix but I want to hear a raw version with just the vocals and drum break 😂

OOF, this is the reverse UNO card of DJ requests. It’s so mad that I kind of respect it.

100%. What I would love to see is a documentary all about how he worked in the studio. I’ve got a vague memory of a South Bank Show on him that had a lot of studio footage but would love to know his process.

Rotary Connection’s Peace. Psychedelic soul with Minnie Riperton produced by Charles Stepney - so good you can listen to it all year round.

It's similar to Jingle All The Way as in it's stupid but fun, low brow entertaiment.

Hudson @hudsonam76.bsky.social · 27/11/2024

The Apartment is my all time favourite though.

Jingle All The Way and Christmas with the Kranks are the ones we watch every year in our household. Both are underrated xmas gems.

In the spirit of this being our new happy, safe space…. I always wanted to be a pop star. I spent my childhood in various imaginary bands and used all my spare time making miniature covers for my equally imaginary discography. I started in 1982 aged 8 and finished 6 years and 271 records later

Substitute (one of the first records I bought - or got my mum to buy). Also, I think they were originally Babe Ruth who did The Mexican.
