An Inuit-coded man, wearing a feathered parka, sealhide bindings over his pants, and traditional mukluks. Thin, shriveled, frostbitten arms end in long, sharp, blackened claws. Agreed! We took a cue from Paizo and made "iconic" characters for Huckleberry. They each show up several times across our corebook. We also created pregen sheets for each. It's useful to pair mechanics with art to help players quickly grasp the "vibes" of both the game and their characters.

George sent me the colors for a new Huckleberry monster this morning and I just had to share the magic with y'all. Created by @erenahn.bsky.social for our upcoming scenario "Magnum Opus", this is a dinosaur fossil that's been reanimated by parasitic pyrite. What a great combination of words, right?

An undead and skeletal dinosaur fossil, reminiscent of a stegasaurus or ankylosaurus. It's jaw is open in a roar, baring sharp teeth. Spikes of pyrite crystals run down its spine and protrude from the sides of it's tail. The bones are the color of fool's gold and have cubic protrusions and bumps where the pyrite has taken over.

Time to reveal the Jack of Clubs! When Red Sleeve was young, a swarm of undead threatened to overrun her clan’s camp. She nearly succumbed to defeat after one of the Horde mauled her right hand. Instead of retreating to perform the cleansing rituals, she swiftly amputated her hand and forearm.

The people have chosen Bartholomew, the Jack of Hearts! As a young infant, Bartholomew was laid low by disease. The doc said it was rabies and that Bart's father should start diggin' the grave. The disease didn't kill Bart but instead warped his features and stunted his growth.

Y'all, I may not know much about TV or Video Games, but I do have a #TTRPG system under my belt. Here's the 12 steps I used to make an "iconic" TTRPG. #You'reWelcome

1. Play a character defined by a series of attributes and skills.
2. Lots of monsters with similar but different stat blocks.
3. Players unlock new feats and abilities as they play.
4. The GM hints at a possible TPK each session, but the combat is actually a cakewalk.
5. Players have enough time between turns to build dice towers.
6. Rewards for players who don't bail on the session (Pizza).
7. One spell or ability is far more powerful than any other. Bonus points if it sets a room on fire.
8. You flirt with your friends, but it's "in character".
9. Jokes about committing war crimes.
10. Players roll critical hits.
11. Players roll critical fumbles.
12. Violence.

On top of massively expanding the core book, we created a whole slate of scenarios so Trailbosses can start their games with a full bounty board. We also released a free version of the core rules so you can try before you buy! All of that to say we've been busy and it's just the tip of the iceberg.

In August 2024, we released a meager 80 page PDF, but the reception at GenCon was amazing! Mounts, vehicles, hostiles, ordeals, GM advice and more have since been added, along with a year's worth of refinement and fine-tuning thanks to everyone's feedback.
