For the first time, I'm noticing how weirdly we pronounce "iron". I just saw a commercial for beef, where the narrator pronounced it "eye-ron", which made me think it was an AI voice, because though it's spelled that way, no one fucking says it that way. Only an AI could make that mistake. #AISucks

I often wonder how many people surrounding #Trump must be on the edge of flipping out, like, all the time. Imagine having to listen to him talk *all the time*. Even if you're profiting from his policies, people around him must be desperately repeating, "This will all be worth it," to themselves.

7. There's no failed intersection of goat and snow: the goat never intersects the snow without disturbing the surface, there's no magical repair in the surface of the snow of where it's been. AI screws this stuff up constantly, especially as videos get longer. 7 seconds, AI can manage. Not 33. /3

Unlikely to be AI: 1. It's too long. 33 seconds. 2. Goat fur pattern (both sides) stays the same, even as it exits and reenters view multiple times. 3. I've seen kids (and dogs) act and move exactly like this, when first encountering deep snow, so the motion and behavior isn't an AI tell. /1

That's a fair take, but not one I agree with. To me, it's the surface absurdity of the phrase that gets one to really think about it. I think of it similarly to, "A friend in need is a friend indeed". On the surface, it sounds like mooches are the best friends. /1

Why do you think it's nonsense? I mean, obviously, "best is worse than merely good" sounds wrong on the face of it, but the pithiness of the phrase very much points to its real meaning, that you should always do cost/benefit analysis on your work. Sometimes, good enough is the best option. /1

#Web #Ads #AdBlocker So a website I occasionally visit has changed its behavior, and now goes blank every few seconds and summons a "Please allow ads" dialog. Dismiss the dialog and you can see the page for another five seconds before it blanks again. So I deleted the bookmark. /1
