Current rule I'm implementing with archunit. - Packages are limited in size to 20 classes, interfaces, and records (total). This includes inner classes but only applies to public and package-private objects. - An interface may have a single default implementation in the same package and the two […]

Claude "The doc's claim that <service> 'crash-looped processing corrupt state reports.' This is not indicated in the sources…" Problem: The doc never claimed that. Anywhere. Not on the line that Claude is citing. Not in any of the attached documents. Not in the document itself.

Claude's habit of making just… completely incorrect statements and yet still being considered a best-in-class model needs to be studied.

My actual ultimate goal here is to write a general casting system that is configurable per game with something like a YAML file. But I'm starting with this game. For it I have a series of likert scale questions, some multi-selects, etc. I'm coding that and then feeding it into pumpkin-solver […]

The casting software is pretty flexible and so far has been pretty good at figuring out good matches. But then you get a curveball like "two people qualify for exactly one character and no one else on the roster." Because even once you get past the low number who are cis het men, most of the […]

Technically the endpoint should be /api/studios/{studio-id}/v1/actors/{actor-id}.

Hrefna (DHC) @hrefna.hachyderm.io.ap.brid.gy · 07/10/2026
Okay, let's fix this once and for all >_>
#### Batch Endpoints

One of the core features of featherpub is the concept of **batch endpoints**. What this means is that if you have an inbox:

```
/api/studios/{studio-id}/actors/{actor-id}/inbox
```

You can also expect it to have:

```
/api/studios/{studio-id}/actors/{actor-id}/inbox:batchCreate
```

In combination with the _studio actor_ maintaining the shared inbox, this allows one server to write:

```
/api/studios/{studio-id}/actors/default/inbox:batchCreate
```

To have a set of messages correctly routed, turning a $\theta(n)$ request pattern into a $\mathrm{O}(1)$ request.

I generally have found that vert.x is a problem for LLMs writing code in a way that frameworks like Pekko are not. This is because, in large part, that LLMs struggle with managing or expecting "spooky action at a distance" and there is one too many layers of abstraction in how that action at a […]

One of my least favorite patterns is when an engineer passes information into an LLM, generates an answer, and then just posts that answer verbatim into a bug for other people. I don't mind it when they do it as a way of keeping notes for themselves. That's fine and can be part of your process […]

Snowflake is great. It's fine for what it is. But: 1. If you are using UUIDs as a string compare in a database you are doing it wrong. 2. If you are serializing it to a long string you are probably fine for most applications where you are serializing things to long strings anyways, otherwise […]

Lol. Sometimes AI summaries are just _funny_. The term in question here—eme-sig -- gu7 (𒅴𒅆𒅥𒅥 probably?)—is a sumerian term that I'm evaluating the history of, since some sources list it as close in practical meaning to "lashon hara."
The Sumerian phrase eme-sig-gu7-gu7 (meaning "to slander", literally "tongue + low + consume/devour", corresponding to Akkadian akil karṣi, "slanderer/backbiter") is written in cuneiform as 𒅴𒅆竴竴.
