iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I hope that Greg has found joy in Galactic Racer. My question is about PSVR2, still using it ever?

Maybe one day Skydance will buy Disney and all the properties will be under one horrible corporation.

#365Films 283 - Scott Pilgrim vs. the World released in 2010. Part graphic novel, part video game, full awesome. Pretty amazing cast of people early in their careers as well.

#365Films 282 - Inception released in 2010. Mind bending film where you never know what is really happening. One of my favorite films. Another awesome Christopher Nolan film.

#365Films 281 - Up released in 2009. The first ten minutes of this film hit me especially hard. I have an adopted son is all I will say. Once Pixar rips your heart out the rest of the movie is a lot of fun.

#365Films 280 - Sherlock Holmes released in 2009. A fun modern adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes character. There have been so many in the last twenty years. The sequel was good as well. It really is better than anyone expected.

Took many tries and contacting Costco support to get PlayStation codes to get processed. Just a warning.

Thanks, I think a definite positive for students.

I heard this is your favorite Star Wars game.

#365Films 279 - Paycheck released in 2003. How do you ensure a clean room investigation of a technology, erase your memory obviously. Somehow, I had wrong year for this, so it is out of order. John Woo's follow-up to Face/Off and M:I 2, not as good as those.

#365Films 278 - Moon released in 2009. A one man play starring Sam Rockwell. This is a great movie about space exploration and one way to do it. Don't read about it, just watch it.

Hey @tero.bsky.social in your policy digging have you seen anything about controlling the new Windows search options like web / app results?

#365Films 277 - Fast & Furious released in 2009. The relaunch of the series and the start of something big. No one would guess there was another 6+ movies to come after this.

#365Films 276 - District 9 released in 2009. At the time this film was an amazing use of technology in film making. Its story is too real still today.

Does Laptop Ultra "start" at $2599 or is it only one spec? Also, you can spend $5000 on Surface Pro or Surface Laptop so this is cheaper?

The MK team must be protected! Build a shield around them somehow. I suppose Ed Boon could finally retire.

#365Films 275 - Coraline released in 2009. This movie freaked me out, it is creepy but good. I was over 30 when I saw it. I can't imagine a kid seeing this movie. It looks like a cute animated movie but scary.

#365Films 274 - Avatar released in 2009. Similar to Phantom Menace this film redefined how digital film making is done. Best 3D at the time and only bested by sequels.

Amazon's advertising is amazing here. Glad they included the one review of one star.

Ad for Michael Lewis book Blockers with a single one star review.

#365Films 273 - Wanted released in 2008. Near peak Angelina Jolie with an early James McAvoy and a dash of Morgan Freeman. A surprising action flick for me.

#365Films 272 - WALL-E released in 2008. A Pixar movie that doesn't immediately make you cry. This is some of the most unique visuals for a Pixar film, I think. It really has some expansive sets.

Looking forward to you and the Chen chatting about this on next Filmcast. Seems you were on opposite ends on this one.

With two new fairly well reviewed Star Wars games this fall, what is your favorite Star Wars game?

Brian Hoyt @hoyty.com · 04/10/2026

#365Films 271 - The Dark Knight released in 2008. This is the best of the Nolan trilogy of Batman films, but I enjoyed all three. Also, I proposed to my ex the morning of seeing this in a true IMAX hundreds of miles from home.

#365Films 270 - Jumper released in 2008. Hayden Christensen getting to do something new after Star Wars. I liked this much more than most people I think.

You make me think about the MFA codes stored in Authenticator locked behind biometrics. How would they access that to access my passwordless accounts.

Brian Hoyt @hoyty.com · 02/10/2026

This sounds like the magician movie where the trick was making a duplicate rather than teleporting. I mean it is pretty much the same but just a few bits different.

Brian Hoyt @hoyty.com · 02/10/2026

Thanks for sharing. It was an interesting deep dive into something I think a very small number of people understand at your depth.

#365Films 269 - Iron Man released in 2008. This movie kicked off the MCU and the modern superhero films ever since. It was a big risk that paid off in big way. Before Marvel was owned by Disney. I don't know if anyone predicted what this movie started.

Explorer still mounted the ISO fine, so I think the format works beyond that barrier. I guess the DVD era is finally over.

Brian Hoyt @hoyty.com · 30/09/2026

No idea what SE means? As you said the DVD9 tag is still on 25H2 that is only 20 MB smaller.

Did you notice (at least on VLSC) the file is no longer DVD9 tagged and is now SE tagged. Maybe since it would no longer be able to fit on a DVD9? @niehaus.bsky.social

Should I have heard the name Omnissa before? Who or what are they?

In the building I work in I had a weird elevator experience. I got on and hit floor 3 (was on 2) then another person got on and I hit floor 4 for them. Both floor lights on. The elevator went to floor 4 and then turned off both lights. I had to hit 3 again to get it to go to 3. Huh?

#365Films 268 - Eagle Eye released in 2008. Your life is controlled by someone via technology. This movie was about a decade early in some of its themes but all too real now.

#365Films 267 - Cloverfield released in 2008. A higher budget Sci-Fi found footage film. Unfortunately, everything connected after didn't live up to the first.

Then we can never get rid of classic Outlook as that is how Purview exports searches done sometimes for legal reasons.

I have learned this lesson in a few cities. Where trains were available for $5 instead of $50 taxi.

I did this list the last time this went around but I can't find the post. It popped up on site when I went there. my9games.com

#365Films 266 - Transformers released in 2007. Seeing Optimus Prime transform, the first time in the film was unbelievable. The series is definitely over the top cheesy, but I am a Transformers kid, what can I say. Mostly each film went downhill from the first.

#365Films 265 - Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street released in 2007. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp back again. This movie is memorable because my ex got my dad to watch it, he doesn't like blood in movies. It didn't go well.

Kai the host of an NPR show about money was paid to post something? Seems unlikely.
