It is so clear now that my purpose, and everyone's when they create art, is fundamentally to keep people thinking and prevent the notion that there is only One Way of Being. There is NOT. Today is Black Theatre Day, but I’m mourning and grieving Trey Reed since the world won’t. We are the original storytellers alongside the Indigenous, and it’s transpired into art which has become our strongest form of resistance. Yesterday, one of us became Strange Fruit yet again 21 years young.
