Frankenstein's Army began life as a project called Worst Case Scenario, about the 2006 FIFA World Cup, believe it or not. Sadly, that didn't pan out, and eventually became Frankenstein's Army. There are a number of promos on YouTube, but this was my original introduction. youtu.be/FrBca_ODsaE?...

Back in the 90s, my then girlfriend had two favorite movies; Gone with the Wind and Raising Arizona. This would've been a breeze for her. For me? I wouldn't know where to begin.

Culturally speaking, Amityville Horror was to the 70s what Blair Witch Project was to the 00s. You kinda had to be there to fully appreciate it. Scariest part? Losing the money. Just ask Stephen King. I personally recommend Amityville Dollhouse, preferably with RiffTrax. youtu.be/R7J_KVRGPgU?...

Lots I could say about Marjoe Gortner's sermons, his documentary, his prolific work in 1970s cult movies and cop shows. If you only know him from Food of the Gods and Starcrash, you owe it to yourself to see his tour de force performance in When You Comin' Back, Red Ryder? youtu.be/GdI_ufUI504?...

Considering the way things are going right now, the fact that the United States somehow evolved from putting Japanese-Americans in concentration camps to a cheesy joke about Japanese tourists being camera crazy photo freaks, that's not too shabby.

The toilet seat is so that when there's an explosion and everyone comes running to see what happened, you can walk out of the bathroom all disheveled with the seat wrapped around your neck. That's visual storytelling. You can't do that without a seat.

You know, I'd never really heard Misery until recently. True Crime Irish kid of all people. The Ozarks are beautiful, as are most mountainous regions. Worst part of Missouri I've been to is the Bootheel, which of course is the nearest to where I live, and not just geographically, I'm sad to say.
