Sometimes, when the current state of the world doesn’t scare me enough. I think about how I could possibly be put in an urn with a “live laugh love” style AI image on it…..

Short people by Randy Newman is objectively a great song if you are capable of listening to it and understanding sarcasm. And I will go a step further to say that the unreliable narrator is a perfect metaphor for modern conservative political pundits.

If I had a nickel for every time I learned about the death of a conservative political figure from a furry porn post, I’d have ten cents…

Here’s another RB67 pic. I had my eyes on this shot for a while and then finally got the clouds I wanted with an orange filter. On HP5 shot at Box speed

I should start posting some of my medium format work on here so that I will then later feel pressured to take more! So let’s start with an oldie. This is from Fort Towson in Oklahoma. I used to volunteer here for a while. Taken on my RB67, HP5 that I did god knows what to. Probably box speed

I just drove for an hour through south Georgia. And I am always amazed at JUST HOW MANY CHURCHES YOU CAN HAVE. Like, are the chickens also going to church??? Some of y’all are double dipping because there’s not enough people for this.

I had a vision, but damn I need contacts. Nevertheless, I’m happy. Thanks @mynx.spacefox.engineer !

How does one try to be sexy with a 7 foot tall keychain? This is something attempting that.

How was FWA? I think a different person came back then went. I feel healed of wounds old, and new in a way I never expected. I felt the love I have for people more than ever before. I want to be a better friend. And I need to not lose the fire in my heart to do so. Also, fuck stairs

Ok, well time to hold in all the emotions until I can get out of Atlanta. Then we get some good ol’ backroad crying.

There’s nothing like chilling out at a con, the right amount of high and listening to Fleet Foxes. Add in good friends and it’s the perfect way to wind down from a con. You’ve been good FWA, real good. I needed this more than ever before. Thanks everyone. Love you all.

This is truly one of the most impactful songs for my state of mind. It’s one of his greatest songs just for the pure amount of groove and feeling that it holds. And the Apple studio recording is pretty good also, I do like it a bit more than the album version. music.youtube.com/watch?v=r7Yi...

Ok so I’m distracting myself. That’s a good plan… Anyway I have two RC projects I’m going to try to work on. A trailer for my crawler and a way to make a PTO on said crawler.

Today, I lost my longest, most loyal, and best friend. Snoopy, my fierce cow dog. She was the best thing about my childhood I think. And she never failed to make me feel better. I’m at a loss for words to describe this hole in my heart. But please, hug your dog for me. She was a good dog.

Snoopy, looking out the at field that she never failed to patrol and keep clear of any of those birds that thought they could do whatever they want.

Man…the biggest reason I’d have for not going to cons is the fact I have to leave them.

000

Houston Fox @houstonfox.taidum.org · 30/08/2025

MEGAPLEX REG TIME: 2:55 minutes… Honestly I’ve been in worse. Either we will keep missing part of our con experience each year or someone will get something better implemented. No sense in getting bent out of shape at this point.

Sometimes I’m convinced my bad memory is a defense mechanism to keep me from hating my past mistakes. I wish I could spend my mornings thinking about what I need to do, and not how stupid I can be.

As I sit here, on the evening of my 22nd birthday (i thought i was turning 23 for like two months) I think about one really important thing. I wonder if, to ferrets, spaghetti is them shaped pasta?

020

Houston Fox @houstonfox.taidum.org · 02/06/2025

I have a strict schedule in the morning. I wake up at 6 and I leave by 7. I have 10 minutes to get out of bed, 20 for breakfast, 10 for shower, 10 for getting dressed. And 10 to get down to my truck. But sometimes I’m too fast and that throws it all off. That’s when I pet ferrets.

I am finishing up one of the trips I’ll always remember. First we did FWA, then drove to Arkansas for a family vacation. They don’t happen very much and we are spread all over the county. Combined ride time for everyone driving is about 1120 hours.

Ok so, River of dreams is MY favorite Billy Joel album. It’s a fun, complex and relaxing time all in one. BUT The Stranger is THE best of Billy Joel. Like come on, LOOK at it. Vienna makes it all by itself. But half the songs on that album could hold an album up by themselves.

FWA was amazing! My first large con, my first time suiting, and my first time seeing many incredible people. Thank you to everyone who made it the amazing time it was. Massive thanks to Mynx also for dragging me out to dance more than ever also.

ALSO massive thanks to @cedarlynx.bsky.social for getting my suit ready in time for FWA. It would not have been half the con it was without them. I couldn’t be happier. Please consider peaking their way for any of your fuzzy needs, they have been the best.
