Forgotten Island. There is not an ounce of flab on this gem. It is so lean so energetic and so fast YET it's never an action blur. Wildly inventive plot. All the main characters have dimension. Trading was brisk today on reports of a bear market. This comes despite continuing fears from consumers that barriers are eroding between the realms of Man and Beast. When asked to report on the situation local journalists giggled and made puns even dental hygienists would roll their eyes at.

Maple the stripey-eared long-snooted kangaroo-like thing (is that his species?) and Kilmo the aardvark are standing back-to-back, wearing ugly sweaters. Maple's has a big pine tree with a thick stripe running through it. Kilmo's has some zig-zag lines and text that says "This seemed funny when I bought it".

Krita's Dynamic Brush tool is really doing it for me. Adds a tiny bit of delay to let me line up the end of the stroke, or to give me time to lift the pen so there's no little smudge at the end of the line.

It was one summer, pre-pandemic, the Blue Angels were flying overhead and I asked Katsuya Terada what his art advice was. "Draw however is comfortable for you. I'm using this big marker. People said 'what're you using that for it's so big' and I said 'I just like it.' Do whatever feels good."
