the notion that they were ever going to make a complete, narratively satisfying game for EIGHT separate lords feels so ridiculous on its face that it frustrates me they even spent the resources to try. the cutting off at its knees was inevitable. effort feels like it went to all the wrong places

the more I think about FEFW, the more it pisses me off 'are these *actually* plot threads that never got resolved in the game, or did they just get addressed in one of the several secret, barely marked cutscenes scattered about' feel like questions I shouldn't need to ask

I genuinely mean this. I cannot imagine a more bleak dystopian notion than the idea of all art being turned into slop designed to coddle my exact perceived intentions. The point of literature, film, music, and art is to be exposed to the interior lives of others. Who are these people.

almost 200 hours later I'm finally done I'm so dismayed by this game. it's so big and so ambitious and still underbaked somehow. there's so much lore and worldbuilding, but it's not really in service to anything. I loved a lot and hated a lot in equal measure. very frustrating experience
