I love the thing in Star Trek when they list a bunch of events and always include a real event from history followed by a fictional event. Such a cool way to immediately give credibility to the fictional one.

Update 7 Infusion 3 of 4 done. Cold sensitivity worse but staying top of it with gloves this time. Cut the tips so I can still tippy tap on my phone. Getting through this one day at a time. Appreciate all your support guys ❤️ Get your fiber and colonoscopies 💩

Every time I visit infusion center my neighbors have had it way worse. Having to come every week or even multiple times a week. My heart goes out to them. Lisa, I hope you found someone to bring you lunch this week.

Update 6 Infusion 2 of 4 done. Deferred from last week bc my ALT was 407 😳 down to 154 today. Cold sensitivity notably worse this time. Feel more woozy kind of overall. But not bad. I continue to feel so grateful that this is all I have to deal with.

Behind a “Free Balloon Rides!” sign, a person gets into the basket of a balloon. A person in a suit unhooks a tether and waves.

The balloon is now very high in the air but is attached to the ground by another tether. The person in the suit on the ground yells up to the person in the balloon. In place of words the word balloon just contains an image of binoculars.

Now the viewpoint changes to be in the balloon with the person. They are looking through binoculars down at the person on the ground. It seems like they are holding another sign but it is too small to see.

The view changes again to be what the person looking through the binoculars sees. The person in the suit is holding a sign that says “$1000 Balloon Landings“.

I normally don’t like sharing personal things but I knew I had to with this. Even if I can help one person not ignore a symptom or not put off a colonoscopy I’d be happy. I wish I didn’t ignore my symptoms for so long. Appreciate you man, thank you for saying that. I’m gonna beat this thing 🤘

Update part 4 Had a CT and some bloodwork today. Chemo starts 6/10. Doing 3 mo. Infusion every 3 wks and pills at home. Nervous about swallowing the pills and some of the side fx but overall I feel great about everything. Thank you all for your support, I love ya ❤️ Reminder to get your fiber!! 💩

IHOP is a great idea. I love IHOP but haven’t been in years. I don’t know what super tasting is like but ugh, I can imagine the mixture being awful for you, I’m sorry. Luckily for me it just tasted like apple juice. The hardest part was just being so full of liquid.

Please get a colonoscopy as soon as you turn 45 and if you have any bleeding when you poop ask your doctor for one now. It’s so easy to fix if you catch it early!

Update for awareness part 3 Well it turns out I have cancer after all 😅 Just had surgery to remove part of my colon and everything went well! Feel so much better today and hopefully going home tomorrow. Doc still has to look at lymph nodes so I may need some chemo but I feel good about everything.

Yes great mention! I actually did Cologuard first and it came back positive which prompted colonoscopy but yeah it’s a great first step. My friends and I joked a lot about me pooping in the cute cartoon box from the commercial 😆

Also consume lots of fiber! I was doing the gummies but doc said those are mostly useless so I’ve switched to the powder. A fiber-rich diet can help reduce risk a lot. I wish I knew that 10 years ago!

Update for awareness! Just had my second colonoscopy (this one with EMR) to remove a larger polyp that couldn’t be removed during my first one. Everything went well! Doc still has to review to make sure there is no cancer but she feels good about it.
