“The MSOTT side fills the open gallery space […] flowing with layered synthesizer drones, dappled tones, and eventually her signature vocals, rhythmic cello plucks, and delicate chimes. On the flip, R. Grant Evans eschews tape loops in favor of conducting a laptop […] insect […] symphony.”

“the eclectic forays into experimentation run the gamut of spoken-word, snippets of guitar balladry, primitive 4-track musique concrete, & a few all-too-brief jams with full band instrumentation, seasoned & served up with just the right amount of post-production weirdness & reversed tape fuckery.”

“2023 was a moment in time where LeeAnn, Lydian and Rachel's orbits all crossed paths. At the intersection was a […] completely unplanned improvisational show: Lydian building up layers of electric cello through their pedal board; LeeAnn manipulating vocals; and Rachel on synthesizer.”

Thanks to Flagpole Magazine for the kind words!

Cassettes on top of a newspaper.
Text reads: “OCEAN SIZE: Although most recently releasing music under the project name Galaxy Tube, composer
R. Grant Evans just put out, via Hooker Vision-his co-owned label with wife and composer Rachel Evans-the single-track, 59-minute record Asymmetric Foxhound. As is the case with most of his and the label's work, this is best experienced as dedicated listening. That is, there's no way to fully let an hour's worth of creaks, static, electronic howls, drones, etc. wash over you without saying to yourself, "This is all I'm going to do for the next 59 minutes." So, figure out when you've got an hour to spare, throw on your headphones, turn off the lights and head to hookervision.bandcamp.com.”

“After nearly 15 years, Sky Stadium returns to Hooker Vision with what can probably be referred to as a lost album. Originally recorded sometime in 2011-2012, these five pieces of blown-out ambiance present a faded snapshot of a bygone era.”
