whats cool about being trans is my parents are totally right. i did kill their beautiful son. im the thing that animates his corpse in an ever more convincing parody of a happy girl. i devoured him from the inside out and now there is nothing left of him and he is dead dead dead and there is only me, with my hollow eyes and dark eyeliner and long hair, and my big smile. my limp, effeminate gestures belie the marionetting of the boy they loved. my fagginess is his death. already his body becomes a fitter home for my parasitism in full; the tits, the hips, the thighs. sorry about your kid. thanks for the biomass <3

hey why don’t you try putting both hands on the keyboard and explaining with some more details how “women in ‘free love’ counter culture movements” are at fault here
post: i am sure there are people where it works that they are poly but frankly the failures of the poly movement makes you all look like fools

quoted:
women in "free love" counterculture movements of the 1960s showed, many times over, how this always turns outme when I touch grass n go outside of my online feminist theory echo chamber and realize that 90% of people still just straight up hate women

My father has started charging me rent for a revelation

l've been reading the Corpus Hermeticum and discussing some of it with my father, who owns a small plumbing business and tends to judge philosophies by whether the person explaining them can fix a leaking tap. A few weeks ago we were sitting in his kitchen and I was talking about the divine intellect, the living cosmos, and the possibility of coming to know God through understanding creation. He listened for quite a while, then asked whether God also knew himself through the plumbing. I said I supposed plumbing was part of the cosmos. He seemed pleased with this and went back to eating. Since then he has referred to every blocked toilet as "an obstacle to self-knowledge," which was funny the first four or five times.
The problem started when I read him part of the first treatise, where the divine Mind appears to Hermes and asks what he wishes to learn. My father became unusually quiet and asked me to read that part again. Then he told me that in 1998, while sleeping in his van outside a customer's house, he had dreamed of an enormous presence asking him almost exactly the same question. He remembers answering that he wanted to know where the customer kept the outside stopcock. The presence apparently showed him a very elaborate vision of the house with all the walls removed, including a pipe running under an extension that wasn't on the plans. He woke up, dug in that spot, and found the valve. He has told the story about finding that valve for years, although the enormous presence is a fairly recent addition.
I asked why he hadn't mentioned the dream before. He said nobody had ever asked how he knew where to dig, which is unfortunately believable because he usually tells this story to complain about the customer's refusal to pay for the excavation. I lent him the book and he returned it with a pencil mark beside the opening of Poimandres and "CHECK DATE OF VAN" written i…

oh my god
A penultimate note on sources: Feeling that I was falling into a rut by using the same phrases repeatedly in the closing pages of the book yet drawing a blank on how to otherwise phrase things and wanting to end with a big rhetorical flourish, I resorted to plagiarizing myself by querying ChatGPT on May 16, 2025, with the prompt "Writing in the most lyrical and political style of trans studies scholar Susan Stryker, discuss the relationship between grammatical gender, animacy, and transness in the Anthropocene." I incorporated two passages from the lengthy refrigerator-magnet poetry remix of my own work: "The Anthropocene asks us to define the Human. The trans body answers: that all depends on how you conjugate survival" and "Transness is that grammar in revolt."I hope that Changing Gender has delivered that and more, still too little and not yet enough, another step toward a maybe never fully rendered and finally finished account of those persistent intentions.
When I asked ChatGPT in that same session on May 16, 2025, to summarize my interest in the Ghost Dance in reference to my entire oeuvre, it told me I was trying to "envision a ritual of collective renewal that emerges from within the logics, crises, contradictions, and aesthetics of late Eurocentric modernity, that does not appropriate other cultural traditions, but is, rather, a symptom of its own unravelling, repurposed as a group choreography of refusal and transmutation."
I feel so seen.

growing up means seeing your heroes become boomers
That's higher education today in a nutshell, I think as I tromp up the stairs: a glorified exercise in risk mitigation. Between a sometimes suffocating neoliberal culture within academic institutions that wants everything here to be safe, and disruptive political attacks from the outside that paint everything that happens here as dangerous, the space for truly free learning, thinking, and teaching feels squeezed to the vanishing point. I'd become disenchanted enough with all the headaches associated with being a full-time professor that I'd taken early retirement as soon as I could afford to, so that I could concentrate on the things I truly enjoy-there are many ways to teach and learn beyond the academy.

i love it when the final song on an album is called something like "goodnight" or "farewell" except for when the beatles did it because they sang about problematic themes and three of them got yhe fourth one pregnant in the early days when they all looked alike and nobody could remember which one it was so they all got abortions just in case

a european watching europeans be european: what are we a bunch of asians???
Our ignorance of the brilliant social life Swann led was obviously due in part to his natural reserve and discretion, but also to the fact that bourgeois people in those days had a somewhat Hindu conception of society, and saw it as being made up of a number of closed castes, in which everyone, from birth, found himself placed in the station occupied by his parents and from which nothing, except a particularly illustrious career or an unusually brilliant marriage, could remove you and elevate you to a superior caste.

And indeed progressive, idealistic Wind dreamed of a happy world consisting of Siamese centuplets, anatomically conjoined communities, whole nations built around a communicating liver. "It is nothing but a kind of microcosmos of communism-all that psychiatry," rumbled Pnin, in his answer to Chateau. "Why not leave their private sorrows to people? Is sorrow not, one asks, the only thing in the world people really possess?"

Actually her eyes were of a light transparent blue with contrasting black lashes and bright pink canthus, and they slightly stretched up templeward, where a set of feline little lines fanned out from each. She had a sweep of dark brown hair above a lustrous forehead, and a snow-and-rose complexion, and she used a very light red lipstick, and save for a certain thickness of ankle and wrist, there was hardly a flaw to her full-blown, animated, elemental, not particularly well-groomed beauty.
