Duuuude. Same. Saw it in the theater during its brief run in the states. She never talked to me again.

So glad it's not just me and my boo! I remember walking out of Longlegs with my fiancée and after a beat of quiet I finally said "I think I kinda hated it", to which she let out a huge sigh and said "Oh, thank God - me too!". The vibes are immaculate, but his stuff is all vibes, no heart or brains.

I'm unreasonably happy about that. I have a huge soft spot for these 90s FMV games, and not just because they were how my career in tech kicked off in the 90s. But mostly that, probably.

Well, execution has never been his strong suit. Or planning, now that I think about. Honestly, even his suits aren't his strong suit - he always looks like David Banner 1/5 of the way to Lou Ferrigno-Ing.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds went from the best live-action Trek in a generation to the worst for a simple reason: When every episode is a gimmick, both the gimmick and the core premise lose all value. It's the TV version of all-marshmallow Lucky Charms. #tvsky #startrek #nutrek

Between the Titanic pic (he's king of the world, y'all - what else could it represent?) and the Claude-coded text, this tweet is absolutely peak Broligarchy.

A tweet from David Ellison about the WB/Paramount merger with a picture from Titanic because irony is dead.

In their defense, the setup for the mystery in the back half was completely telegraphed at the end of the first episode. I'd bet the usual amount it's solved before the season ends.

I'd love to call this schadenfreude, but it's not. The destruction of CBS news as a financially viable venture was part of the plan. For the Ellisons, these ratings are a feature, not a bug.

That's kind of a strawman. Movie theaters HAVE been dying as a business, and my preference is to watch movies in a theater, although I still watch most things at home, and am only occasionally vulgar. I look at the consumer right issues around films and TV as a seperate axis that hits both markets.

Did a podcast on the Jaws series a few months ago, mostly to talk about the never made Jaws 3, People 0. I think Jaws 2 is kinda like 2010 - actually a decent enough movie, but it need to be watched FAR away from the original, 'cause it's just a different thing.
