I had a colleague with inoperable BRAIN TUMORS who was forced to keep working to keep her health insurance for her treatments. She suffered. Her work suffered. She did eventually quit, I think when her disability benefits started. She died a little over a year later. This country is sick.

Agree with everyone else there are leg braces. But it sure also looks like how my dad's lower legs were with edema when he suffered from congestive heart failure. Blood and fluids just pool down in the lower legs, unable to pump efficiently back up to the heart.

That’s terrible. Hope it works out for her. I’ll try to get a job with health benefits soon. I quit my previous job a few years ago to become full-time caretaker for my elderly dad. He passed in July, so I’ll enter back into the workforce now. I’ve been fortunate to have Medicaid during this time.

Yep, I got a letter a couple weeks ago (in Virginia) saying that I’ll no longer qualify for Medicaid in 2027 due to the One Big Beautiful Bill. I think blue states are making it clear why it’s happening. I’d guess letters in red states read decidedly different in reasoning.

My veteran father passed in July. Today I received this certificate in the mail honoring his service. Then I saw Traitor Orange Fatass the Felon’s signature at the bottom, and it feels like a slap in the face and mockery of my Dad instead. Hoping I can get it reissued when a Dem POTUS takes over.
