I didn't do anything to prove your point. People dont buy Metroid games like the other Nintendo IPs. Thats fact. Marketing will only do so much. But doubtful it will cause it to sell 10x more units. I love Metroid. Been playing since the NES, but I understand its not a super popular series.

Yes and no. For example. Dread only sold a little over 3 mil units. The beloved prime games beside prime 1 only sold a bit more than 1 mil units for prime 2&3. Comparatively the zelda closest to dread, BOTW, sold 34 mil units. Its not even close to its other big IPs. Its sad but true.

I wouldn't say they hate Metroid its more they hate how much it doesnt make them money. If they hated it we wouldn't have the games that release after Other M. Its just to them its not as big as a money maker as Zelda and Mario. Still they should respect its anniv. like it does with the others

Like I get why Metroid has had such little fanfair from Nintendo for its 40th anniversary. Its not as popular as Mario or Zelda. But like...come on. How many people can claim they have a series thats 40 years old and still running. Feel like it deserves a big celebration as well.

I went to the used game store near me and they still had the copy of Metroid prime pinball I saw last week. I wanted to get it, but I just cant justify getting a game thats not really all that rare for $100. 😭

I was today years old when I realized that the Justin Bailey green hair was actually just the suitless Samus with the Varia suit. I mean, it should have been obvious but for some reason I just never put the 2 together.

Saw a YouTube video about Lucia Pyroath with some Date a live characters and felt like the video was weird for some reason. Looked at the description and saw "made partially with or entirely with generative AI" PGR deserves better than that. Hell, all art deserves better.

I just hate that I have to be suspicious about every new artist that I stumble upon. No online footprint before July, fully rendered pieces every other day, in full marketing mode? Is it real? Maybe! But I'll always doubt them. I miss when I could just enjoy finding new artists.

Happy 40th anniversary Metroid! One of my fav series! Easily my fav Nintendo IP! Since I don't really draw anymore couldn't do a fun piece so heres my tiny collection. Hopefully one day I'll be able to get the older titles again when I can get consoles to play them. (Need Super Metroid again 😭)

I was actually going to use a different gif but this one fit how I felt afterwards more 🤣 Actually modding the vita is super easy. Its the custom stuff afterwards that can be intimidating. For me, getting English patches for JP only games was a pain to set up & well my own custom theme. 🫠

While it was embarrassing that it took 2 days to get to work. I have successfully made my own custom theme with bgm on my modded ps vita! (All the tools are mainly for windows pcs and I use Linux so I had to constantly find programs that played nice with wine 😭) I know, not a PGR post? What!!!!!

Yea its extremely weird they are keeping attackers just basic but not powerful enough to overtake a potential breaker or amplifier that could release in a patch or 2 unless they are SSS or higher. Even then theres a possibility a random character could knock out Alpha. Just a strange choice.

The recolor coating being on the tactical manual because on one hand, never really seen a reason to even go for those extras & now there is. On the other hand its literally a coating that would normally go in the blueprint shop a month or 2 later that you can get for free. So....yea 🫤
